Tea is the second most widely consumed drink after water around the globe. An approximate of 20% of all the tea consumed is green tea. Green tea is first introduced in china and now it is gaining popularity among different countries especially in the west. Many different varieties of green tea are harvested in countries where it is grown. It comes from the same source where the black or white tea comes. The only difference is in its processing those results finally in different tastes and colors. Leaves of camellia sinesis plant which is native to china or India is the source of green tea.
The process of black tea involves a fermentation step whereas green tea avoids this step hence retaining maximum amount of antioxidants that helps body to fight against noxious effects of free radicals. It also prevents the premature aging of cells. Also it has antimicrobial and ant mutagenic effects on body.
It is a common belief that green tea helps to reduce weight although it does not provide fast result in doing this but help losing your excess weight without compromising your health. The p...
