Freaknik was an annual spring break meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, primarily of students from historically black colleges and universities. The festival attracted thousands of people and became one of the most talked about events of EVERY year. However after complaints from city leaders and officials Freaknik was banned in Atlanta....which is why we're bringing it to JAMAICA! Come see what all the fuss is about! Be a voyeur OR a participant! It's really up to

The music of Jamaica began five centuries ago, when Columbus colonized the land of the Arawak Indians. This dates the start of oppression by first the Spanish and then the English in this area of the Caribbean. Blacks were brought in as slaves by the English, and although Jamaica has had it's independence since 1963, the tension of authority and control still reigns. Jamaica is a story of injustice, international influence, ineffective governing, and unequal distribution of wealth; all of these elements provide a solid base for the theme of oppression and the need for a revolution and redemption in Jamaican music. Reggae in particular reflects these injustices, and the feelings, needs and desires to change the lifestyle that Jamaicans have historically lived.
The fierce hand strikes again. There is no sense of motherly or fatherly love when sharp pains stem from vermillion scars appearing on your undeveloped and sensitive hand. Would you like to experience this everlasting pain?
Well, a place where to live is essential for everybody. Today I am going to show you a less expensive, practical and ecofriendly solution for this basic but indispensable necessity.
Throughout its existence, Jamaica has experienced numerous revolutions, riots, and various forms of social unrest. From early resistance by escaped slaves to all-out fighting to end slavery altogether, not to mention riots in past years, Jamaica has been in a constant state of resistance. All these efforts to make a change have created a Jamaican religion called Rastafarianism, and with it comes a very powerful means of transporting its message: reggae music. These two forms of expression formed in the context of oppression, and in doing so they have contributed greatly to the ideologies, attitudes, beliefs, and actions of the people on the island. Rastafarianism is a religion based on social change, and reggae is the means of spreading these beliefs. For a new movement to effectively change the system that is in place, it must realize several goals. The movement must have a clear ideology that is supported by the general populace. The ideology of the Rastafarians has been put forth by leaders, such as Marcus Garvey, Leonard Howell, and Sam Brown. The movement must then succeed in organizing people to gather together in order to support the necessary changes. At this stage, there is most likely going to be resistance from the existing forces that want to maintain the status quo. Finally it is necessary to get people from other areas to support the cause. Only then is change possible. The message of Rastafarianism has been spread worldwide by reggae artists like Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, and many others.
As a result of extreme hard work and perseverance followed by an unmatchable drive to succeed, Donald J. Trump has earned the right to be known as a multi-billionaire, real estate icon, and President of the United States of America. Reflecting on his life, he has faced an abounding amount of challenges and overcame them all. To understand how he rose to success and his journey to the top of the kingpin, it is important to recognize how he saw the American dream and pursued it. Today, many will recognize him as the president, but a small percentage of people can fully grasp all that he has done in his life. From his start as a real estate mogul, to his impact on media, there are many questions as to how he became so recognizable today.
Jamaica has been a land exploited and oppressed by white nations for much of its history. First colonized by the Spanish and then the British, it seems hard to imagine a time when it was just the native people living in peace and harmony with the land. Many years after the white man first jammed himself onto the beaches of Jamaica, reggae music was born. A continuing tradition, this easy-to-groove-to music style originated as a voice against this oppression; it was the peaceful islanders way of finally communicating their plighted history to all who would listen, or all who could appreciate a good beat. Much of this oppression came in the time of slavery; a period of nearly two hundred years where those of a dark skin were considered property of the light skinned ones, inferior in all ways. Most of their labor was on sugar plantations, an export that Jamaica was supplying much of the world with. Later in their history, it would be bananas that the British would learn to exploit.
She’s running to bathroom. She’s been doing this for the past three weeks. It’s always at the same time. Right after our video production class, right before lunch. I grab our stuff and head to the bathroom. She’s pacing in the bathroom when I get there. I know she won’t be able to control it no matter hard she tries. Jackie finally runs into the stall and I run in to hold her hair for her. I tell her that I’m going to get her a headband. By the time, I get one out of my bag she’s already done and looks like she’s on the verge of tears. She tells me that a little blood came out this time. I ask her if she wants me to get someone, but she says no. She heads to the sinks and rinses her mouth. “I think I’m going to tell my mom,” she says as she’s wiping her mouth with a paper towel. I hug her and we head to lunch.
Possible intro P for subtopic 1: Now there is a lot of government and politics, way more than just Donald Trump and him being so great or so evil. I don’t want to talk about this matter because I feel it is not important to tell others. Saying that he’s good or bad would make this paragraph a persuasive one instead of an informative. Also, it just doesn’t matter, you won’t find me even mentioning the President’s name after this paragraph. So instead I’ll be talking about the president in general, like his or her jobs as president, and their rights and responsibilities. I should probably put a pun in here, eh… Quick! If Con is the opposite of pro, than does that mean Congress is the opposite of Progress? Oh, that wasn't very
This type of child is notorious for making a scene in the mall while contemplating whether or not to make a run for it straight in the Build-A-Bear workshop or stay put. The gleaming stare received forces them to stay put resulting in a horrendous scream heard across the world. This type of child will whine every time they don’t get their way and will cry even harder when no sympathy is shown. The crybaby does not know how to share their toys and will burst out into tears if they even hear the word “share”. Unless there is a life jacket on hand for the river of tears this child leaves, it’s best to stir clear and walk away before the flood gates burst
Before you go bragging about ONE child's accomplishments, be sure you can account for the whereabouts of ALL SIX of your children first!
I found the best combination of pop! Its of ¾ Dr. Pepper and ¼ Mt. Dew. It’s perfect. I drink it way too much though. Maybe I should be healthier? Everyone wants to be fit, but no one wants to do the work. Baby steps I like to tell myself. Then I’ll be used to it eventually. What should I do? Start working out, eat more salads, have an apple a day.

America is fine the way it is! You might not think that because everyone has there own opinions. The is always going to be a man or woman who thinks that they know what's best for america. Never say “The sky's the limit” when there is is footprints on the moon. There is always going to be a conflict somewhere in america. A war can be going on as you speak to somebody else. One small problem can turn the government or public into a disaster. Everyone has there own opinion not every man or woman thinks the same. Not everyone is from America, there is many different races. There might be different races from different countries but they join the army, navy, or special forces. They also fight for this country no matter what race you are. There is always going to be conflict, we all as american citizens can come together and stop that. To
