Florisel She’s running to bathroom. She’s been doing this for the past three weeks. It’s always at the same time. Right after our video production class, right before lunch. I grab our stuff and head to the bathroom. She’s pacing in the bathroom when I get there. I know she won’t be able to control it no matter hard she tries. Jackie finally runs into the stall and I run in to hold her hair for her. I tell her that I’m going to get her a headband. By the time, I get one out of my bag she’s already done and looks like she’s on the verge of tears. She tells me that a little blood came out this time. I ask her if she wants me to get someone, but she says no. She heads to the sinks and rinses her mouth. “I think I’m going to tell my mom,” she says as she’s wiping her mouth with a paper towel. I hug her and we head to lunch. Gabriela …show more content…
Said she couldn’t eat lunch at school without throwing up. I’m taking her to QuickCare today. I’m worried that her old sickness is coming back. She had GERD as a child. Her doctors told me it was due to stress, and that stress was making her throw up. When she was a kid, her stress was linked to her father being away. And it began to get better once we were able to visit him. We get to the clinic, and we are seated. I wish she would have told me earlier. I wish I could know what she was stressed about. I wish I knew where I could take her to make her feel
Their behaviors are often caused by physical or emotional stress. When a caregiver cannot find the root cause of an infant’s distress, it can be challenging for the individual to sooth them. There are five main ways that a caregiver can solve most of an infant’s causes of stress; swaddling, a side or stomach position, shushing, swinging and sucking. However, my youngest niece Elizabeth has had repeated, uncomfortable intestinal distress. For Elizabeth the best ways to relieve her of this discomfort was to allow her to lay on her stomach, and gently massage her lower back. Or, have her lay on her back and gently massage her stomach until the discomfort passed. Her parents had to see a physician to get advice on what formulas she could drink, and what methods they could use to relieve her of this discomfort. In this case the cause of the challenging behavior was not environmental or a result of her caregivers, it was the result of a digestion

Amy Widener is a real estate agent, mother of two, and a sepsis survivor. In 2013 Amy was in the best shape of her life. She had just finished a Disney half marathon and was reaping the benefits of her intense training, little did she know that that training was going to save her life. One night she woke up with extreme abdominal pain and was rushed to the emergency room where she learned that she had a kink in her intestines. They performed emergency surgery and released her after a little bit of recovery. Instead of Amy’s pain getting better with recovery after her surgery, it got worse. This resulted in subsequent trips to the E.R. only to be sent home with more and more antibiotics. Two months after her surgery she went into the emergency
Through assessment, I have come to the understanding that these symptoms come from an underlying issue of abandonment. She is experiencing a negative cognitive shift where she has trouble seeing anything positive about herself leading to a lack of appetite. She is showing significant symptomology of an eating disorder, this coinciding with her high levels of irrational thoughts and faulty cognition (Lask, 2000). Her eating disorder has led to the problematic behaviors of panic disorder and it has to be dealt

Based on Ella’s persistence on wanting to stay home during this time of her illness; I would suggest combining Ella’s natural medicine with having someone come and monitor her condition within her home. Ella’s family should seek guidance from a therapist or medical professional who can help them cope with this moment in life and their own illnesses that they suffer from. Due to the families’ high history of medical issues physically and mentally; each individual must battle with their own illnesses before they can openly understand why Ella make the choices she does. Ella has lived a life of her own choices and how she conducted her life has prolonged her life

Throughout our lives, we carry and value our own beliefs. As we face different challenges, we may be persuaded into making certain choices. However, no matter how convincing a person may be, in the end we always have the last word. Nobody likes being told what to do but we do like to hear other opinions for a different perspective. The proper way of using rhetoric is through a confident tone that is knowledgeable of their topic. The speaker should have integrity and be selfless in the sense that they are understanding towards their audience.
My client is a 16 year old Caucasian female, was admitted into Children Medical Services on July 28, 2015. She lives with her mother in a mobile home. Mother and father are divorced because her father was abusive. Since mother is now a single parent finances are a struggle. Mother also has depression and is receiving counseling. My client has Dysthmia, a chronic type of depression in which a person's moods are regularly low (cite). She was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations, or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (cite). She also suffers from Posttraumatic Stress from observing father abuse towards mother when she was a child. Her previous medical history includes ADHD, Asthma, Vaginitis, Urinary Tract Infection, Sinusitis, and Otitis Media. My client is physically in normal range for her age. Based on the growth chart in the ped’s book for her weight she falls in the 75th percentile and her height she is in the 25thpercentile. In last week’s Olympic games we bore witness to some returning beloved champions as well as some fresh faces! Let’s not forget why we participate in these games my fellow citizens! Every four years we gather at Olympia to participate in a series of games in honor of Zeus. The days leading up to the commencement of the games, champions must travel from all across the country and in order to do this safely, an Olympic Truce must be called. This is presumably one of the only times it is safe to travel across the country but let’s not get caught up on that! In order to participate in these strenuous games, each young man must pledge an oath to the beloved statue of Zeus that they have been in training for ten months. The training and dedication
Topic: Addiction to social media General Purpose: To persuade Specific purpose: To persuade my audience that social media is hurting us mentally and our social lives. Thesis: Social media can cause serious problems to you and your health, so we need to put addiction to social media to rest. I. Introduction A. Attention-getter: The ages of 55 and 64 year olds who use social media fell “worried or uncomfortable” when they can’t access any type of social media accounts (Wright, 2015).
Ever since the fall, mankind has had a voracious desire for power and influence. People witness this desire within the walls of the Capitol Building when the media exposes backroom deals. It also springs up whenever a politician uses a podium to persuade people that he makes the world work. Politicians possibly rely on persuasion because they crave the power. However, persuasion is a manipulative, unBiblical tactic of forcing others to accept a point of view by all means necessary.
Sometimes life can feel super mundane during the week for me. A couple times a year, I find myself just going through the motions and not feeling like I'm truly living each day. In face, I've never met one person that hasn't felt obligated to do something they didn't want to but had to because, well, we are adults and don't have the luxuries to have naps, snack time and play time anymore.
