As with most popular sayings, there is some truth in the saying, “Great leaders are born, not made.” To some, the capacity for great leadership is distinctive. However, learning how to be a more effective leader is within everyone’s capability. In every country, there is always one person at the political top who determines the nation’s policy and makes the key decisions. Some of these leaders were clearly the aggressors, while others led the war against aggression. Some leaders succeeded, while others failed to stand against stronger powers, leaving them caught in the middle between stronger countries and were forced to take a side. WWII was won by the allies who included the following: Great Britain, United States, Russia, China, Australia, New Zealand and France in September 2nd, 1945. The countries of the Allied force obviously had leaders with great strategies, abilities, knowledge and major responsibilities. The best in my opinion being Franklin D. Roosevelt, he was the most effective leader of the United States of America during WWII.

Franklin Roosevelt was such a powerful leader and one of the most highly regarded presidents in American history. He was an American statesman and political leader who served as the 32nd President of the United States. Undertaking the Presidency of WWII, Franklin D. Roosevelt helped the American people regain faith in themselves. He brought hope as he promised prompt, reliable action. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Franklin D. Roosevelt, president of the United States of America initially followed a very strong political demand to remain neutral and isolate the country from foreign wars. When it comes to being an effective leader of their country, Franklin D. Roosevelt successfully and effectively portrayed the image of a great leader. His actions towards the attack on pearl harbour, along with his other notable actions, provided him with a chance to express his positive view of modern culture and everyday life.

Roosevelt’s skills can be seen as a relation to leadership in the sense that it attempts to portray different perspectives, ideas and knowledge in their simplest, immediately recognisable form. Nonetheless, his techniques were emulated by other highly respected leaders. Franklin’s creative and mature beliefs continue to develop new meanings long after the death of its creator.
