ⅠResearch Background Nowadays, people think that both men and women should be treated equally regardless of their genders. Moreover, they act against gender inequality and insist for their own rights to be treated same with their opposite-sexed counterparts. In the past, especially for women, these rights had been ignored and they were not expected to be treated nor respected same as men, So, there came a range of social movements to protect political, economical, personal, and social rights for women. Ⅲ Research Question Since animation movies are popular image media that reflects the society, this study assumes that animation movies reflect the feminism trend that has been hot issue in modern society. In order to confirm this assumption, there will be 2 research questions.
First, do the scripts of animation movies apply feminism? Second, do the relationships and actions of the caracters apply feminism? In order to identify these questions, there should be definition of feminism, In this study, the female characters' actions or words that are independent from the male characters' help will be regarded as feminism, since feminism means women being independent and getting their own economical, political, social and personal rights.

Ⅲ Research Methods To identify our research questions, both quantitative research method and qualitative method will be used. For quantitative research methods, voyant tool which identifies the most frequently-used words will be used to analyze massive amount of scripts.
