Ever met someone who raises poultry and goats for show? Or someone who aspires to turn social media use into a career? Read on, and now you have! Though, as a college student, academics are my first priority, but that does not stop me from being involved and pursuing my passions outside of the classroom! Not only am I involved in extracurricular activities, but community service and other projects as well when I am not in class. Growing up around animals, when I had the opportunity to join the Future Farmers of America (FFA) in high school, I took it and began developing my passion for agriculture at a young age. I am also a longtime member of a 4-H club as well, where I had even more opportunities to explore the agriculture industry. Through this and other things such as exhibiting livestock in fairs and shows around the state, I not only developed my passion for agriculture, but also discovered my college major and the career that I want to pursue after college. …show more content…

I am still a member of FFA, as we are allowed to be members in college if we are involved in agriculture to pursue our American Degree, an award given for at least five years of agriculture and FFA involvement for five years before age 21. In addition to FFA, I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa at my college, serve as a Youth Ambassador promoting the Florida State Fair, and am a member of the Junior Board of the Central Florida Fair as a collegiate student where I help to plan activities for the fair’s activities throughout the year that are helping me give back to the agricultural community and develop my skills in agricultural
