Some examples of internal conflict can be when at the end of the story George is about to kill Lennie, when he was pointing the gun at Lennie head he was having a trouble time handling the gun and brought the gun back down when he was about to shoot him, it’s like that there is voices saying one to kill him, or two to don’t shoot and think of what George was doing. Another Example would be when Lennie kills Curley’s wife and runs back to the brush, he starts to see things such as his Aunt Clara and the Gigantic rabbit, as if the voices in his head start to make images of these two visitors to say all the stuff of all the awful stuff he has done and how they made Georges life painful. The reason is because since he is black, he is not really aloud to be with anyone that has a different color skin, reason could be that he is living in a barn and not living in the bunkhouse where everyone else is. From the beginning of the story George and Lennie had to flee from weed because of Lennie's actions of him ripping a girls dress when he was touching a girls dress inappropriately, in which led to all men running them out of weed. At the end of the story he kinda did the same thing with Curley’s wife but worst, in which ends up to Lennie killing Curley’s wife and him running back to the brush. Another reason could be that whenever he gets to physical contact to anyone or anything, it leads to someone always getting into trouble or lead to someone or something being severely injured.
