Sacrifice is something we all may face at least once in our lifetime. A man named Oleg demonstrated a heroic act of self sacrifice when he threw himself on top of a live grenade to absorb the blast with his own body. Due to his sacrifice he saved his team members, nearby citizens, and the female hostage. He made the split second decision to save the people around him despite the risk of losing his own life. However, not everyone can make such a quick decision regarding a sacrifice. Before making a sacrifice, people can consider the kind of sacrifice it is, what they stand to gain, and when the sacrifice is appropriate. Out of all the different types of sacrifices there are; time, money, comfort, and energy stand out the most. A sacrifice of ones time would be to dedicate time out of your day to do something like cleaning instead of what you would normally spend your time on. Sacrifices involving money would be like giving a homeless man $5 instead of spending it on something you want. Sacrificing your comfort would be to let your friend sleep on the bed while you take the floor. Energy sacrifice would be to only turn a light on when you need to.
