There are many periods in time that have been crucial in the development of human ideals and technology. One of the most important times was the Romantic Era. This period began in the late 18th century, and peaked around the 1850’s. It was embodied most strongly in the visual arts, music, and literature until Industrialization had come fully into effect. Because of all the variables and factors of the time, the world was ready for a new era, a modern era that advanced the world far beyond expectations. The Romantic Era was a time of innovation, social struggles, and major changes in industry and society, all due to Industrialization. One of the most important was all of the innovation that occurred. The Romantic era saw a series of economic and technological changes, originally and principally in England, which were later designated by the term “Industrial Revolution”. This term would forever hold true, as europe became the “industrial cradle” of the world. There are many people credited with this, but the first person to refer to what was going on in the world as the “Industrial Revolution” was the French economist Adoplphe Blanqui. The concept of this idea of a “revolution” was loosely based on the parallel between the British economic and technological revolution, and the French political revolution. As it was stated before, this sort of revolution must have certain variables in place. So in order for this era to begin, several conditions needed to exist, essentially being the need for resources, a surplus of capital for investment, a large number of engineers and mechanics, and cheap raw materials and labor. Britain had all these things at the proper time as well as many other european countries. These new modern industries... ... middle of paper ... ..., while at the same time the well-ordered society would give man equality and justice. Science and rationalism promised a new Golden Age. The reality did not match the dream. The final outcome of the Age of Reason was a twofold upheaval. With all of that information in tow, the effects of Industrialization were monumental compared to anything of the time. Without it, a mother may still be sewing her childs clothes, computers would never have existed, and a horseless carriage would be thought as being preposterous. The Romantic era was forever changed by the new ways of life and thought created by the industrialization of many major industries it europe. This industrialization was focused mainly in Europe for a very long time, creating great wealth and power. All of these things combined to change the romantic era for good, as well as changing the rest of the world.
