Animal Hoarding We humans have wonderful lives, realize it or not, which is good because being able to pursue happiness as long as it doesn't harm others is a right. This rule doesn't only apply to humans though. Pet lives should be thought of too, and one of the biggest problems that violates their rights is animal hoarding. This is an interestingly hard to catch crime that involves an individual who has more animals than he or she can care for. It's not hard to catch because you can't spot them, but because 48 out of 50 states don't have a law that can easily prosecute animal hoarders. While the government sits back and lets smaller organizations deal with the problem, insane people continue to ruin animals lives by making them live in their own feces and urine. We must set up a law in order to stop this horribly inhumane action, for without it, too many animals will continue to perish. These pets live worse lives than those animals living in the wild, which is saying something. Victims of animal hoarding live in cages their entire lives, where they urinate and defecate on the floor, the carpet, and on themselves. If I were to walk into a case of animal hoarding, I would most certainly plug my nose because the …show more content…

There is nothing else to say. They live in their own insane denial that their animals are healthy, cared for, and loved, even though it's clearly visible that that is not the case. The owners are usually isolated from the community and are way too passionate about animals. A lot of the time it starts as a harmless love of animals, and they decide that animals would be safer under their own care, so they serve as rescue shelters for those animals that have been neglected, abused, etc. Little do they know that they're actually dooming them to a worse life. The government clearly doesn't see this going on and if they do, they are most certainly not going to do anything about
