Recommended: Cruelty towards animals

One of the most overlooked social issues in our society is simply the abuse of animals. In our society today most animal abuse victims are dogs followed by cats and other animals. In our society today many people look at animals as property and possessions. Even though legally there are yours people in this society need to understand that animals are breathing organisms that have life and feelings just like we do. So we need to try to help everyone in different communities understand what animal abuse is and when they are doing it, knowingly and unknowingly.
Animal abuse has been going on in societies for many decades and centuries. Dating all the way back to ancient times. Different animals have been abused in different places and settings. Such as homes, science labs, farms, factories and so many more places. It is reported by the HSUS (The Humane Society of the United States) that nearly 1 million animals are abused and killed in a year. Thats a lot of animals abused and killed!

Deliberate abuse( knowingly) is any abuse done on purpose to hurt a animal. Involves any type of beating, shooting, stabbing, or even in some cases setting animals on fire. Animal abusers can start abusing animals at young ages. Many people that abuse animals do it for amusement or to feel powerful about controlling something. Most of the people that deliberately abuse animals have psychological problems and need help from professional psychologists.Signs of deliberate animal abuse abandonment.
