Heroism can show itself in many shapes and forms from ordinary people to heroic and courageous people something to think about is that anyone can show heroism. A lot of people have shown heroism just by doing the right thing such as just helping someone or not acting mean towards others. heroism can show itself in many different forms but sadly some ordinary people don’t get recognized for the heroic acts that they do. Many different people just don’t recognize heroism from ordinary people as they just think of superheroes and supervillains. In reality anyone can achieve heroism as long as they strive for it. As some of them can. In The Article “Where i Find My Heroes” Oliver Stone Says “Who Is Heroic? Scientists who spend years of their lives trying to find cures for diseases. The teenager who says no to crack. The inner-city kid who works at McDonald’s instead of selling drugs. The kid who stands alone instead of joining a gang which would give him a instant identity. The celebrity who remains modest and treats others with respect or who uses his position to help society. The student who defers the immediate pleasure of making money and finishes college or high school. People who take risks despite fears. People in wheelchairs who don’t give up.” this paragraph basically is saying that even ordinary people can become heroes by doing ordinary things. Ordinary people have what it takes to become extraordinary. Another example of this would be in the Article “Soldier Home After Losing His Leg In Afghanistan” in the article Tristan Eugene Segers says “everybody’s injury is different and everybody handels it in their own way. There is no way to measure it, whether it's physical or mental” Segers said. “I just kept telling the doctors that i didn’t want my life to be different than it was before. Of course the loss of a leg changed me. As if you don’t have the courage to save or help someone how could you be a hero? That is why courage is the most important quality of being a hero. An Example Of This would be the firefighter that goes into the blazing fire to rescue someone or a policeman arresting dangerous criminals and keeping crime of the streets. Those are examples of brave types of people that can be considered heroes for what they do. Also In The Story “An Everyday Hero” the son of the mother suffering from cancer says this “she fights against nature itself not only for herself, but to be there for all those she loves, and who love her.” this means that even people who are sick can be heroes as she is fighting to stay alive for those she loves and the people who love her. This just goes to prove that she is brave and that many more like her can also be as brave as her because she isn’t the only one that has had cancer and is fighting
