“Most of what they do goes unheard of, unappreciated. And that ironically is heroism; not to be recognized.” (Stone 73). A hero is often most time hidden in plain sight. Everyday people are everyday heroes. Everyday people are the heroes that don’t have a cape or powers, but they do have their own type of superpowers. Heroes are courageous , inspirational and self-less. Heroes are courageous. No matter the consequence, no matter the journey a hero will take whatever comes at them and still have a smile on their face. For example, Malala who is a young girl got shot in the head for standing up in what she believed in, which was women being able to go to school. She still fought for the girls even after being shot in the head and knowing what might happen to her if she continues to speak out about the problem. In the 20/20 documentary, Malala says, “One child, one book, one pen can change the world” (“Unbreakable”). Malala is courageous because, even though she knows there a groups of people armed that don’t want women to go to school, she still fights for the rights of women. …show more content…

Heroes are often times very inspirational and a lot of people look up to them. A lot of people do good because a hero inspires them. For example, Tristan Segers was a soldier in a war that was in Afghanistan. During the war he lost his leg. He wasn’t going to give up on his dream as a cook so once he was recovered, he went to school to become a chef. Later he got submitted to go back into another war. In the story, Segers says, “I didn’t do anything special, but if the progress I have made motivated another wounded veteran to keep going, then that’s great” (Fiege 68). This is a good example because even though he didn’t think he did anything he is really setting an example for all the other soldiers who lost something and for everyday people to be inspired and never give up like he
