Being a president can be very difficult. There are many characteristics of being a president. The president has to be respectful, and to be responsible, and also be open minded and to listen carefully. The president needs to be respectful to people around him. Even if the people are not being very nice to the president, the president still needs to be respectful. The president can have people that admire him or she. It can show that you care about that person. It can also help you succeed in work. The word ¨respect¨ is a very strong word and an important word too. If you show that you are a bad person, than no people would see you as a good person. And that you do not care about that people that voted for you to be president. It can help gain leadership in office. It also shows good character. The president needs to be capable of doing stuff on their own. They have to be trusted in things. Being responsible means, to be doing what you are doing, and to be careful of what you are doing. The president does not need to loose things. They need to remember where they put it. Especially if it is an important paper, they need to put it in safe place. So they know where they put it at. If the president is responsible, than it might lead to raises and promotion. If the president is irresponsible, than other people would not ask the president for any help, because he or she is not responsible. Any kind of president needs to know who they are talking to. What if the president says some things that does not even make sense. The people around him would have a confuse face. So the president needs to be responsible on doing their stuff. The combination of preconceived ideas of the perfect president and the various promises made by presidential candidates during their campaign create unrealistic expectations of the president by the American public.
