Dick Axelsson was born on April 25th, 1987, in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been playing hockey since 2007. At 30 years old, Axelsson is currently playing for Sweden in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Throughout his career, he has played for Djurgardens IF, Modo Hockey, Frölunda HC, HC Davos, and, most recently, Farjestad BK in the Swedish hockey league. In the 2006 NHL entry draft he earned 62nd overall. Additionally, Axelsson won the Swedish Championship in 2009 and 2011, making the Elitserien All-Star team. Axelsson participates in basic hockey drills, practicing accuracy and speed. John’s legacy still lives on for a few decades after his death in the role of Sloth. For him, it was nothing compared to his NFL career. When you think your average baseball player, what do you think of? The player usually has all of his arms, legs, and no physical disabilities. Anyone who plays baseball would think it is hard to imagine that a person born without a right arm is able to play the game and let only be able to be a pitcher. Jim Abbott faces all the odds and has ten-year career in the major leagues. Abbott had to faces many obstacles throughout life and his playing career. Jim Abbott grew up being picked on since he didn’t have a right arm. When Abbott was younger he would use a steel hook as right hand and other children were afraid of him. Also, they called him names like Mr. Hook.
The Rev. Mark B. McFadden was born and reared in Lebanon, VA. He is the fourth child of the late Wayne and Elnor Mae Hoops McFadden. He is a graduate of Lebanon High School. Upon graduation from high school the Rev. McFadden served in the U.S. Army for four years as a Chaplain’s Assistant and in linguistics. After four years in the Army, the Reve. McFadden completed a B.A. in Theology at Lee University; and a Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary.
Alvin C. York who was an American war hero during WWI, was born on December 13, 1887, in Pall Mall, Tennessee. York was third out of eleven kids , he grew up in a small cabin and didn’t receive a lot of schooling as a child. When his father died in 1911, York, was forced to help his mother raise his younger siblings. Because of all the pressure he was under, of trying to fill his father’s shoes. York became a heavy drinker and was frequently involved in bar fights. York stayed a heavy drinker until 1914, when his friend Everett Delk was beaten to death during brawl in Static, KY. After that, he became a member of a Church. This is where York met his wife, Gracie Williams, through the church's Sunday school and singing in the choir. York then
Danny Clark was an American soldier that fought in a war some time ago. It all began when he need money to live a good life. So he enlisted to the military and he was sent to battle right away.
John J. pershing was born in laclede, Missouri, on the 13th of september in 1860. He graduated from West Point Academy and graduated , and then went to fight in the indian wars and also in Spanish American war during World War I. John was the class president at West Point, yet not being the best student he still became the class president. After graduating he joined the Buffalo Soldier to fight the tribes none as Sioux and Apache. During the Spanish American war he lead the all black 10th Cavalry and was afterward was awarded the Silver citation star for the defeat of the Spanish. In 1905 John military record caught the eye the the president of the time; Theodore Roosevelt.

Upon hearing the term ‘Celtic,’ the first things that come to mind are the awe of their intricately patterned jewelry, lively music, and the flowing tunics they wore. These people are also known for being fierce warriors and for their superstitious, nature-centered religion. Celtic customs are still alive and well in places like Ireland and the western reaches of Britain, but within this essay I shall explore their origins and traditions.

In his dramatic monologue, Eliot uses vivid understanding of the three Kings journey by the use of imagery. The different use of details guides the reader to use his imagination about a Biblical reference of more than 2,000 years ago. The narrator starts his story by describing the climate challenges encountered: “A cold coming we had of it.” He uses the diction of winter: “cold, winter, snow”, combining visual and tactile senses for the reader to experience the difficulties faced by the three wise men. The narrator is generally very negative about what he encounters during his trip. He uses pejorative vocabulary in order describes the season: “Just the worst time of the year”. (v.2) “deep and sharp weather” (v.4) “the very dead of winter” (v.5). Not only the Three Kings seem to be tired and upset about their adventure, but their camels as well. They were “lying down in the melting snow” (v.7) “galled, sore-footed and refractory”. The role of this enumeration is to insist on the animal’s physical fatigue and also to show that both human and animals were affected by the weather conditions.

Geoffey Chaucer lived from 1343-1400, and during that time wrote multiple works (Smith 7). Chaucer’s language soon became the new standard for writing, for which it differed from Modern English by the pronunciation of long vowels (Weiner 1). “For example, Middle English’s “long e” in Chaucer’s “sheep” had the value of the Latin “e”, which sounded like the Modern English’s “Shape”” (Weiner 1). And while his writing poses multiple similarities to the English spoken today, it still provides enough difference to see the change with the years in between. Without his work, many linguists would not have a clear understanding of how the linguistics shifts within Middle English itself
