There are three necessary skills that I personally find most helpful. One that I find that is helpful is Self-discipline. Self-discipline helps me stay focused on what I am doing, it reassures that I stay on the right track. It also makes me more confident on the choices that I make since for me personally, it is impossible most of the time. Finally, it helps keep me from being lazy and procrastinating, knowing that I have to get something done and to make sure that it happens. Time management is the second skill that I find most helpful. For me, it really helps from spending too long on a subject, keeping me from getting too stressed out and worry too much about it. Writing out the notes is one of the best ways to can take notes. When you write out notes, you use more of your brain, unlike when you type it out. According to Christine Currie, C.Ht., Writing, as opposed to typing when taking notes and learning material engages the idio motor response (IMR). The IMR is how your brain signals or creates a response to certain stimuli. When your hand and your brain (thought process) work together to carry out a task, such as writing when learning information, the eyes are also engaged and the sub-conscious becomes engaged as well. All of these elements respond to the stimuli as they experience it by creating synapses in the brain. These synapsis are like little highways that your thoughts, memories and ideas flow on. As you think about something, write the same thing and see the same thing, it is like traveling the same highway three separate
When writing, there is much that goes on within our brains. The frontal lobe is the part of the brain that helps us write and speak. It is also responsible for things such as movement, planning, and problem solving (“How Does”). When writing, this part of the brain comes to life with activity. Mostly due to the fact that while it does helps us write, it is also where thinking occurs, which we are constantly doing as we write.

there is no way I could write what I had thought because I tend to forget after a few second. I am able to write down certain words I could remember but I cannot expand on them quick enough for me to actually start a few sentences. Reading while taking side notes is one of the best way I have found that has help me in building words together to form sentences even if my thought sometimes gets clustered with so many ideas. When I do have more material for my papers I must stop what I am doing and quickly write them down before I forget, later I could go back to what I wrote and expand to make them into sentences and even paragraphs. There are also times where I could write down couple of things and just expand on them for a while but then it begins to fade and I must go back to the last few things I had writing to get inspired
As I have noted, I truly believe that the numerous job skills that are needed to be successful include dedication, communication, and adaptation. First of all, you must be devoted to your career if you want exemplary results. Equally important, being able to articulate your ideas, and intellectually communicate said ideas will ensure a successful time at you occupation. Last but not least, in order to be successful in your employment, you must be flexible to the obstacles that are inevitable. I urge you to strive to obtain these essential job skills because they are worthwhile.
The different types of learning styles are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Visual learners prefer to study with the aid of visual stimulus like diagrams, images, drawings, mind-maps. Auditory learners prefer to study by listening, watching videos with sound, and reading out loud. Kinesthetic learners prefer to study by actually doing an activity, writing out notes while in a lecture, doodling while listening, or practical work. These learning styles will benefit you in developing a studying and note-taking routine. When you know your learning style, you can adapt your notes accordingly. For example, visual learners may want to use symbols or color coding while kinesthetic learners may want to use doodles to display information. Note-taking is an effective way of studying and will help students feel more confident when exam time comes around. In addition, simply reading through textbook pages is not effective, you must annotate your text to fully process the information. For example, highlighting the text is a good way to emphasize the main concepts that you will need to grasp for the exams. No one is going to take your exams for you so it is best that you adapt your note taking and reading methods to fit you
I would apply Interpersonal communication, goal setting, accessing information and analyzing influences to form a strong foundation for my health. With interpersonal communication, it deals with effective listening, refusal skills, assertive communication, responding to the emotions of others and asking effective questions. I would apply these skills in a conversation with my friends, family, or teachers to show my thoughts and reactions in a nice manner. In goal setting it can help you make a more specific goal, a measurable goal, an achievable goal, a relevant goal, and a time bound goal if you are using the S.M.A.R.T. system. I would apply this skill in making a goal to run and make it easier to reach. Being physically active

Tim managing is a flaw that I will overcome. Time manage will help me progress in the near future. In life there will be barriers n course help me develop my 32-day plan and also a 24-hour schedule which I am still working on it 32-day plan helped me immensely and I am thankful I learned these skills in my college success class, for example, every day I write my time from start to finish and I figure that most of my time is spent doing nothing that 3 hours I take to sleep would of been used to do my homework. Improving my communication skills has been a work in progress starting back in the early years of my life. I have always been my own worse critic. Usually beating myself down through interpersonal communication. Now as an adult I have made great improvements but still have trouble dealing with perception and self-image. Not being raised in an environment of positive reinforcement and poor communication in the workplace I have made it a point to change that trait in my own family and professional environment.
As I performed participant observation this weekend, continuously walking and circling the 9/11 memorial pools in an almost figure eight fashion, I performed two different types of note taking: audio recording and hand-written. Of course, both methods had their advantages and disadvantages. First, the audio recording was great for picking up details. As I type my observations, the audio recording paints a fuller picture of the field and help me recollect events much better. However, one disadvantage is that the notes are a bit long. To accomplish this goal, I know that I will need to develop a couple of essential skills here in college. To have a better knowledge of engineering, I first distinguished my strengths I have in the field. For strengths, I have always been exceptional in math and science, I’m a pretty quick learner, I am good when it comes to hands on projects, and I love working in teams. I did not feel as though I had any weakness in engineering, but after doing some searching, I realized that I have a big problem when it comes to note taking. Throughout high school, I subconsciously took notes in class. The main reason why: because I had to. However, I now realize that for me to gain a truly deeper knowledge in engineer, I have to take better, meaningful notes. While reading The Transition to College Writing, I learned many ways to take notes, the right way. One strategy I liked from the book was taking reflective notes. While taking notes, I should also add my personal reaction to the content. This I believe will help me truly connect the dots when trying to gain a deeper knowledge in the engineering field. Also, I learned not to write everything the teacher says. Instead, the book taught me to write only the main, most important points.
