The water was cold when it hit her skin, the shock of the water scared Rosey. As Savannah and Ashlyn started to laugh time was going by they soon realized that Rosey had never came up when she fell. Both the girls had no idea where she was. “Rosey where are you,” Both the girls were screaming to see if she could hear. They noticed a lot of splashing near the end of the dock. Savannah and Ashlyn looked over and you could see somebody in the water flailing their arms. They saw a deep dark object on the bottom of the person. The girls finally realized that they were the only ones at the beach and that person in the water was Rosey. “Rosey grab onto my hand!” Ashlyn said with fear. Rosey heard the word hand and lifted her hand up for someone to grab. As Savannah and Ashlyn were bringing her up to the dock they saw scratch and bite marks all the way up her body. “What happened?” Savannah asked. “Well when I fell a huge fish came up and started to pull me down.” Rosey said frightened. As they made sure she was not hurt terribly she tried to stand up and couldn't. Something was broken in her right leg. It hurt so bad her scream was like a little boy not getting what he wants. "How long is it going to take you to find a meaningless lunch box?" a woman asked from the hall.
“Are you guys leaving today?” Maggie asked, bringing her plate to the sink and washing it off.
"Nandu, can you fetch some groceries for me from the market? The list and money is on the dining table." She kept a cool voice with no smile. I nodded. She turned and left giving me a satisfied look.
“So where were you?” Murray asked again, this time slowly getting up from their worn out sofa. “Are you hungry? I can heat something up if you’d like.”
And this time while the girls stared in shock, the ghost faded away. Then, only then, did the girls run. They slid under the kitchen table in the dark kitchen. And they screamed for help in the same kitchen that Hilde called for help in many years earlier.
The next morning Rylee woke up way earlier than anyone else. “Come on guys, get up!” Rylee screamed, trying to wake them. They all stayed at Becca’s house for the rest of the day and got ready to trick-or-treat. At five o'clock the girls went out from house to house and got a lot of good candy.
