“What is Kindness?” Kindness, or the state of being kind, comes as a misunderstanding to many people. Today, society has a difficult time comprehending the true value of kindness and reinforcing the meaning of this term. Because of the various ways kindness can be put into effect, the word can often can cause confusion. Kindness consists of one doing kind deeds for someone. Random and unexpected deeds make the world a better place. Also, the word describes an individual’s personality, and will help one succeed in life. Possessing this quality establishes a sense of respect between one another. Throughout the day, kind deeds are often overlooked and are often taken for granted. Kindness should be appreciated, valued, and returned to other people. Returning the act of kindness not only improves my attitude, but it also improves someone else’s attitude as well. These small actions a person implements throughout the day improves the world and leaves almost everyone content. An example of a random act of kindness is volunteering for community service such as helping the animal shelter or giving blood to save lives. Other examples include feeding the homeless or helping elderly walk up or down stairs. These are not expected or required by any means, which is why they are considered random acts of kindness. The best quality to possess is kindness. Kindness is the key to harmonize or get along with others. Many adults teach and demonstrate the act of kindness at a young age in a child’s life and is advised throughout the rest of their lives. Containing this quality can help one achieve goals such as obtaining a new job or winning awards. Without this quality, one will have a difficult time succeeding in life.
