The brochure I found to be most effective in conveying its message was called "Cyberbullying Among Adolescents," by Giselle Mota. This brochure is made to spread awareness towards cyberbullying, specifically among teens, by directing its focus towards why people cyber bully, how the issue can be prevented, what one should do if he/she were to be a victim of cyberbullying, and how teens can stay safe while using the Internet. The cover of the brochure includes the title, "Cyberbullying Among Adolescents," and a picture of what appears to be a student who is currently a victim of cyber bullying as she seems to be depressed, embarrassed, and lacking help to address/solve the issue. Paragraph format is effective in defining cyberbullying as it enabled the writer to give a clear meaning to the issue. For example, Giselle defined the issue as "willful and repeated," and most often performed by "a child, pre-teen, or teen." This message would not be as clear or understandable to the reader if it had been described through bullets or a graph. Likewise, paragraph format was effective in the section "Why do People Cyberbully," because it's a simple, efficient way to give reasoning to the act of cyberbullying. While this section could have also been written in bullet format as a list, writing it as a paragraph allowed the writer to introduce the main reason for partaking in the action. Giselle stated that the main reason people cyberbully is because they are often angry, want revenge, or are just frustrated. The next section leads into how people can protect themselves on the Internet in an attempt to prevent being a victim of cyberbullying.
