At the beginning of the term, I preconceived that this Cornerstone Course would only be about how to get through college. When I settled into the class, I realized that it focuses more on getting to know ourselves better and how we can apply that to school and our everyday lives. Cornerstone has expanded my knowledge about myself as an individual. Although there were many topics that I found intriguing in this Cornerstone Class, there were two that really stood apart from the rest: the personality assessment and the time management segments. I believe it made an impact on my day to day life. Understanding how to manage my time will give me a firm foundation in my college courses. Doing Covey’s Quadrants worksheet gave me the opportunity to organize how I spend my time, where I waste time, what the results of my actions could possibly lead to, and what strategies I can use to prevent time wasting. I learned that there are little things such as social media and using my phone that I can spend less time doing and it will save me more time for things that are momentous such as acquiring more rest at night. Not only, but also, the time log and analysis questions that I answered from my Key To College Success Compact textbook made me think a little more in depth. The textbook gave tips on planning a schedule and managing that schedule that was planned; it stated “…. create a schedule that maximizes your strengths, minimizes your weakness, and reduce stress.” When I prerecorded how I would spend the week of Oct.4th-Oct.20th, I observed that the majority of my time during the week is spent doing the same activities that keep me productive and will later reward me, and that is work, school, and
