Have you ever noticed how many students dress very inappropriately for their age? This trend amongst the youth of today has become increasingly overwhelming. Although some people may be against uniforms, due to the fact that they believe it diminishes your self-expression, you can always add accessories to personalize your outfit. In addition, you already know what your uniform consists of so you can work around it by putting on earrings, bracelets or even just a watch. Despite all of the controversy on this issue, I agree that uniforms should be used in schools. The use of uniforms takes less time in the morning, is cheaper in a sense and leaves less of a chance for students to get bullied. If the school was to put in place a dress code, students would have one less element to focus on in their lives. They therefore don’t risk the chance for being late to school since they already know what they are wearing. According to a poll conducted on Life.com, 41.33% out of 5,853 people felt that they spent 31 to 60 minutes getting ready in the morning. As mentioned previously, some people don’t have enough money to purchase the latest clothing which can lead to them getting picked on but with the employment of a dress code, everyone is wearing the same thing therefore everyone is equal.
