For centuries the meaning behind leisure has inmensably changed and what was done during the free time changed as well with the new creations and the help of renovating technology. During the 1950s free time was a luxury that would be spent with family or if the person was of high class it would be spend drinking tea and gossiping with their friends. If lower class people spent their luxurious time drinking tea and gossiping they were considered Free time went from being a luxury to current time where leisure is for the public and not just a group or status. More often than not though in the 2000s people are too consumed into their jobs to take time and enjoy the public activities that are given and sometimes it is taken for granted when past centuries would have appreciated them. In order to help their economical situation In 2003 the couple opened a family business called Dona Zita where they serve Mexican food. The couple along with their two girls at the time were the first to open a mexican restaurant in Coney Island.Vazquez explains that the name of their restaurant which was inspired by her mother who as well owns a restaurant but in Guerrero. Rizzo Island is right in the Gulf of Maine, where the capital city of Megatropolis is located at 43°"N -68°”W. It is in the North-Western hemisphere, on the East side of the Atlantic Ocean. It is considered a part of North America and is South of Maine, and West of Nova Scotia. People here have no specific religion, and mostly speak French and English. The want to relax and to be entertained has always been a part of human nature. It seems that business has always been able to find ways to fulfill this want. But throughout the history of the United States the job of achieving this task has not been easy. More attractive ideas and inventions were constantly knocking out the old ways to enjoy life.
Many individuals would define leisure as time free from paid work, domestic responsibilities, and just about anything that one would not do as part of their daily routine. Time for leisure and time for work are both two separate spheres. The activities which people choose to do on their spare time benefit their own personal interests as well as their satisfactions. While some people may enjoy one activity, others pay not. Leisure is all about personal interests and what people constitute having a good time is all about. Some may say that the process of working class leisure can be seen to contribute their own subordination as well as the reproduction of capitalist class relations. Self-produced patterns of working class leisure can lead to resistance to such reproduction. This leads to social class relations and inequalities, and the fact that it they can never be completely reproduced in the leisure sphere. In our campaign we will be talking about our attractions and various reasons for people to come to Coney Island and enjoy our attractions. People came to Coney Island basically because of all the fun main attractions. “You might be able to have fun at home but its guaranteed that you will enjoy more in here”.

An island with Amusement Parks and vast beaches was underway in development to change the face of America in ways no one could have imagined at the time. The island was referred to as Coney Island. Coney Island Amusement Parks was built in a span of 30 years that would provide the American people a place to relax and enjoy time together with their friends and family. As a whole, Coney Island at the turn of the century, offered the ways of the future in distinctive ways; through technological advances of the era. Around 1900, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company created steam railways that connected Manhattan and Brooklyn, thus making Coney Island much more accessible to people living the city (Source 2). Coney Island was a symbol of America in the early twentieth century, where all of America’s values and traditions were defined and brought into one place. In a sense, Coney Island took Americans from the Victorian age, to a more modern and futuristic sense of what America could potentially become.
