Communication Strengths In Communication

During my interviews for my communication assignment I found an array of answers. Some were very direct and I knew exactly what was being said, and the rest were left up to my interpretation. I chose to ask 5 different people so that I could hit every level in my life to fully understand what my strengths are. These five people being my boss, two of my dance class girls, my co-worker/friend, and my aunt. I have been working under my boss, Mr. Ali, going on about two years now at an after school program. At my job I teach a dance class, a crafts class, and interact with the parents at our sign out table. I have high respect for Mr. Ali so I was eager to get his answers. We met about a year ago when she started working at the school I do. She is a couple years older than me and is always there to give me advice when I need it. We are both planning to be teachers so she often helps me in that area as well. After asking her for my three communication strengths I was happy to see she communicated effectively and told me exactly what she thought they were. The first one was that I am not afraid to speak up when I see something is wrong. The second one was that I have a way of always speaking kindly to someone even though they may be being rude. The third one was that I am very direct and that I am not one to sugar coat things. When I read what she thought my communication strengths were I immediately thought that they were more character traits that anything. The more I thought about it I was able to understand what she meant. Although each of these things are talking about my character and how I hold myself, they play a tremendous part in my communication. By not being afraid to say what I think and being direct I am able to get my point across quickly and
