The Type of Teacher you want to be

Since high school most people would ask me what I was going to college for my ideas have changed over time, although my qualities have stayed the same. When becoming a teacher there are certain qualities you need in order to be successful, these certain qualities include: leadership, organization, and being good with children will help me become a successful teacher.
One main quality includes having leadership. Being a leader means I am focused yet humble while doing the job. Since I was a little girl I have been playing soccer. Soccer is where I learned how to be a good leader, being a good teammate, and being focused to get the ball from one end of the field to the other into the goal. Another example of being focused is last fall I had my son while still going to school. I had to be focused in what I was doing and to stay in my classes. I have two younger siblings and fourteen other cousins although many of them are much older I always seem to take the role as leader. In class this quality has helped when …show more content…

I recently started helping my mother-in-law at her daycare and have learned that if you are not organized it can be real simple to lose something. The same thing happens in teaching, staying neat is always important so everything can be easily found. Teachers also have crafts and activity that they will do during the year. I am very big in crafts and have several projects I have done at the house that I have hung up on my walls. Crafts and organization come in handy in good qualities. A good example of this would be having binders for each child with information about, allergies, phone numbers, and parent’s notes. Organizing with color coded bins and labels with pictures. Another example would be painting with canvas’s using the children’s hands for art ideas, sunflowers for summer and Christmas reindeer for winter. This would also turn into great gifts for the
