World War II is one of the most recognized battles in the history of the world. The battle originated with Germany’s invasion of Poland. The United States involvement in WWI and WWII have distinctly different causes, effects on U.S society, and consequences for U.S involvement in global issues. For WWI the United States had economic ties with Great Britain while WWII was triggered by spread of communism and fascism. WWII was really the caused by the aftermath of WWI. WWI began with the tension in Austria- Hungary and the enmity Germany had with parts of Europe. Though there has been wars and battles between other countries, two wars that involved major countries of the war and that caused many devastation and deaths was World War I and World War II. The first World War began in 1914 and lasted for four years until 1918. World War II lasted longer than the first one, it lasted for six years from 1939 to 1945. The reason behind fighting these wars are very different as well as it methods of warfare and its outcomes of the war. One similarity behind all its differences is the horrific outcome it left, the losing of lives and mass destruction.
The causes of World War One and World War Two can be traced back to political and economical roots. During the times prior, during, and post both the wars, all of the involved countries were making reckless political decisions, for example: excessive alliances that were both confusing and contradictive of purpose or treaties that had their fingers pointing a little too much at one country. Also during both World War One and World War Two, all of the countries were had little to no government, economically speaking, but that didn’t stop them from spending all of their money and using all of their other resources in order to have the biggest and the best armies, did it?

The Germans were very prejudiced against the Jews, they blamed them for losing WWI to the allied powers, they blamed them because many of them were wealthy while the rest of Germany was in poverty. The Germans passed their own version of the Jim Crow laws, the Nuremberg laws, against Jews, they rounded them up into ghettos, they put them in labor camps, eventually they just started killing them off. The Germans saw the jews as a race to be extinguished rather than a religion. There was no escaping it except leaving. Even that was problematic because the Germans not only tried to eradicate the Jews in their country, but also the ones around it.
My name is Alanna Inniss from Atlanta, Georgia. Today, I am explaining how WWII came to be. WWII was a major event in world history. It took place during the years of 1939-1345. This war was fought because of the bombing on Pearl Harbor, militarism, appeasement, and alliances.
The world was plunged into World War II in 1939 for many reasons. The reasons were Japan invading Manchuria, Mussolini's attack on Ethiopia, and when Hitler defies The Treaty of Versailles. Appeasement was one of the biggest things that lead to World War II.Appeasement was giving in to an aggressor to keep peace. It basically postponed the War from happening but did not stop the war from happening . The Most effective response to aggression at this time was collective security because it was using the appeasement to got the countries together and didn't benefit them.
World War II was one of the deadliest wars we know of in history, with as many as sixty million casualties, most of whom were civilians. It impacted a lot of countries, almost all over the world, which is why the name is given. This war impacted many countries in the world, and damaged almost all of the countries involved greatly. It also led to the downfall of Western European countries as world powers, leaving it to the Soviet Union, and the United States. The war started in 1939 and ended in 1945, with the invasion of Poland and the Axis surrender, respectively.
The Long Term Causes of World War II World War Two was not caused solely by short term events in the 1930's such as Austria and Czechoslovakia. The anger and resentment that built up in Nazi Germany - and which was played on by Hitler during his rise to power and when he became Chancellor in January 1933 - also had long term causes that went back to the 1919 Treaty of Versailles. Patriotic Germans had never forgotten their nation's treatment in Paris in that year. The League had some successes in this decade (the Aaland Islands, as an example) but the weaknesses of the League had also been cruelly exposed on a number of occasions when an aggressor nation successfully used force to get what it wanted and the League could do nothing. This process set the mould for the 1930’s and any would-be dictator would have been very well aware that the League did not have the ability to enforce its decisions as it lacked an army.
From the beginning Of World War II in 1939 until the end in 1945, the battles between the Allied and Axis powers were violent and caused great destruction. It became a world dispute after the attack on Pearl Harbor. From then on, countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union, and many others fought vigorously until a victory was achieved. World War II officially began after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and the United States declared war. The war was made up of a series of major events such as the Battle of El Alamein, the Battle of Leyte Gulf, the Battle of Stalingrad, and D-Day which all lead to the victory of the Allied powers.
