The Consequences of Casual Dating Every day humans change aspects of their lives such as the way they dress, work, and even date to make life easier and fun. Currently, people use a new way to relate with others, casual dating. “Casual dating consist on having sex frequently on the first encounter where people often do not know who they are dating and either consider that it could lead them into dangerous situations” (Kunz 389). People should avoid the practice of casual dating because it can be dangerous, negatively affects self-esteem, and health. First of all, casual dating can be dangerous to both women and men. People meet somebody new every day at different places. For example, in a bar, party, school, and even online and it is fine, but if they want to build safe connections with them, they must be responsible and take the time to get to know these new people. Getting to know someone is important because who guarantees that they are healthy people and have good intentions. Does their apparently sweet face and kind personality guarantee that they are safe people? In today’s society, it is normal for people to date somebody and have sex and it is fine. However, it is important for both men and women to know who they are dating if they do not want to be part of those people who suffer from a disease. The health problems that sex on a casual dating could cause are sexually transmitted diseases such as Genital Herpes, Chlamydia, and HIV. As a result, these diseases include unpleasant symptoms as joint aches and pain, body rash, fever, and others more serious like infertility in women and cancer in both genders and even death.
