Carrie Underwood's life would change forever on January 18th, 2005. She went from being a regular Oklahoma girl to the winner of American Idol’s season 4. As Carrie began her new life of stardom she would later become one of the top artist in country music. It has been 13 years of tours, new music, new fans and a new journey at a new life.
Carrie Underwood was born on March 10th 1983 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Carrie was raised on a farm and had a typical childhood full of everything a child would love. She enjoyed playing outside, climbing trees, but most of all she loved to sing. Carrie is the youngest of three daughters and attended Checotah High School. During college Carrie would sing ever so often during school events, other than that she thought her dream for singing was over. It wasn’t until the summer of 2004 that she would get a second chance. Carrie had decided to tryout for season 4 of American Idol. She auditioned with the song “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and that was the start of her new life. Carrie had made it through the first round and was headed to Hollywood.Carrie would only get better after that, she stole the hearts of America and convinced the judges that she was the real deal. Carrie would be one of 194 contestants that made it to Hollywood. Carrie eventually made it to the top 24 and that’s when it got real. As the weeks went on Carrie would move onto the next rounds. Weeks went by and votes were casted and Carrie found herself in the top 2. Carrie was up against a guy named Bo Bice. In that final moment carrie was announced the season 4 winner of American Idol. Carrie was finally living her dream. She always hoped to become a singer but never really thought American Idol would giver her that opportunity. Carrie followed her win with a multi-platinum selling album. One of her most popular songs on that album was “Jesus, take the wheel”. That song was one of her first best produced songs that her fans loved. It really stuck with her fans and is still one of her best selling songs today. After Idol she began writing and producing more and more music. She was always on the road but visited family, friends and of course her pets back home as much as she could. Carrie was also planning a upcoming tour with Kenny Chesney and would be appearing at a lot of festival bills that upcoming year. She was very busy but tried to maintain as much of a normal life as she could. Carrie had a lot of interviews after her win and became the center of attention. When asked what was the most important thing in her life, she answered by saying her friends, family and pets. Carrie had started a new life but never forget where she came from. She was thankful for all the hard work that she had put in to get her to that point and was thankful that she was finally living her dream. Carrie was very thankful for American Idol and all the judges that saw her potential. She not only thanked the judges but her fans as well. Without her fans she wouldn’t be where she is
