Describe how a WBS and a schedule work together.
The WBS represent the breakdown of work and the list of the work schedule contain the same items in the WBS such as, sequence activity, how to estimate duration of the activity, and the project schedule of compression that is applied making an outline of the schedule
Proper metrics must be in place to measure the progress of each step along the project.
1. Competitive Advantage – Through my experiences in the Capstone Simulation I learned a great deal about running a business. First of all, recognizing your company’s competitive advantage and reinforcing it in your business plan and operations is essential for sustained success. By investing heavily in TQM, HR, and automation in the low and traditional segments, Digby was more efficient than our competitors. Thanks to our heavy investments in TQM our company’s R&D cycle times were among the industry’s best. Not only were we able to meet customer preferences in a timely manner, allowing us to secure market share, our variable costs were greatly diminished with these investments. Costs were even further diminished with
- If all of the options were explored, and patient is given antibiotics and is treated without any pain or suffering than the treatment identifies with the ethnical principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, and veracity. In turn, Mrs. Dawson will be happy with the outcome of the procedure.
Based on the completion of their project milestones, they receive DSRIP payments. Milestones are objectives of the projects, comprised of metrics indicating their progress, and the providers must achieve the milestones in order to claim the associated incentive funds. DSRIP projects are spanned over five demonstration years, DY1 through DY5. And each demonstration year has separate project milestones, metrics, and incentive funds.
As student nurses, I have many goals that would like to achieve upon completion of 150 hours of my capstone course. My plan is to use this opportunity to demonstrate competency skills, and knowledge gained through previous quarters. I have listed seven learning goals that I wanted to achieve during the capstone experience. On my first day of capstone, I have gone over each one with my preceptor and requested from her to provide me with feedbacks, so I can use them as stepping tool to work upon. These goals ranged from critical thinking decision making, culture, growth & development, legal and ethical to clinical competence safety/holistic care, evidence-based practice, and professionalism lifelong learning.
The situation I have identified is that Conestoga College Doon Campus does not offer enough healthy, yet still affordable, food options for students and faculty. This is a rhetorical situation because the situation can be changed or modified. The exigence in this situation is that many students are becoming more and more health conscious, but do not have the healthy food options that are still affordable. My audience is Jennifer Bruder, the food services director for Chartwells at Conestoga, as she is the one who could make the decision about offering more healthy food options. This is a rhetorical audience as she is the person who could make the end decision about offering more healthy options, because they are the organization
This process is aimed at ensuring the project being pursued has a potential of delivering by adhering to the allocated time, sticking to the budget and very important, meeting customers specifications (Mott McDonald, 2002). It involves assessing the projects at critical stages (also referred to as gates) in its lifecycle and thus assuring it can advance to the next stage successfully. This function is performed by an independent experienced team, after which they assure the Senior Responsible Owners that the project can progress successfully (National Academies US & National Research US, 2004). There are six critical stages (gateways) in the lifecycle of a project that the independent gateway review team will evaluate and thus provide th...
The WBS is a key decider of a project completion and success. As we’ve learned in class the WBS defines the project’s scope and any changes in the WBS will affect the scope of the project and vis-versa. If we weren’t provided with the detailed WBS of the project at the start, I wouldn’t know exactly how to allocate resources for each period. To think that a PM is responsible to develop a workable project WBS , using techniques like Top-Down and Bottom-Up, is very mind bottling and impressive. I’ve also learned of the importance of budget allocation. As stated earlier, I had a little bit of budgeting issues throughout the simulation. Even though I was over budget, like everybody in the class, I wasn’t too far off.
Lael is going to review the following three manager in the company: Liz, Roy, and Quang Yeh. Below is facts that I think might have a bearing on this problem, show as a table so make us easier to compare their difference, which is good for making utilitarian approach.
All effective educators need to find ways to motivate their students. The kids that fill our classrooms have different strengths and weaknesses. It is critical that teachers recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their students so they can use the right classroom management strategies to motivate their kids. In this particular case, the student named Jodie is inattentive and uninterested and neither the teacher intern or classroom teacher have a clue how to handle this situation. Ms. Marcia Thomas, who is the young intern feels that Jodie is just a problem child that lacks motivation and there is nothing she can do for this particular student. Ms. Thomas and the lead teacher Ms. Egan both lack the needed classroom management strategies that are necessary to motivate and engage students in a positive learning environment.
The vendors will outline how the work will be accomplished, who will perform the work, and vendors experience in providing the service. Additionally, the vendors will be required to submit work breakdown structures (WBSs) as the hierarchy structure below and work schedules to show their understanding of the work to be performed and their ability to meet the project schedule. There are constraints to be included in the RFP and communicated to all vendors in order to determine their ability to operate within these constraints. The project schedule is not flexible and the contractor must complete the service within the established project schedule of 1 year. The contractor must support the approved project scope statement.
...oject’s mission, objectives, and deliverables. A work breakdown structure of work requirements is also included with the project schedule and budget to cover all project costs. All required resources are specified and assessments of foreseeable project risk provided”. I was able handled it, base on the advice I get from the elderly and experienced people who have been in it for so many years.
This paper titled Schooling and Labour Market Consequences of School Construction in Indonesia: Evidence from an Unusual Policy Experiment was published in the American Economic Review issue of September 2001 and is one of Esther Duflo’s first papers and received wide attention. It studies the largest school construction program in record, undertaken by the Indonesian government between the years 1973 and 1978. It led to the construction of 61,000 primary schools affording one primary school per 1000 children. The program led to an average increase of .12 to .19 years of education as well as an increase in wages of 1.5 to 2.7 percent. The economic returns to education ranges from 6.8 to 10.6 percent.
It represents both the longest and shortest time duration paths in the network diagram to finish the project.
Information that is usually covered by these updates includes accomplishments, goals, and conflicts. Aside from those details, team members also include information on what they observe in the workplace as well as their performance. These assessment details serve as the bases in establishing a concrete plan, which should possess specificity, measurability, attainability, realty, and time-boundedness. The formulated plan serves as the backbone for laying down the actions to be implemented by the team. Then, the team can also include brief status of the outcomes from previous tasks performed.
