Bruno mars was born on October 8th, 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii. You could say that his talent of music was carved on a stone into his genetics. His father Pete was a Latin percussionist and his mother, Bernadette, was a singer. Bruno’s real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, but his family gave him the nickname Bruno from a very early age. His family could describe him as independent, confident and stuck to what he was doing. Which inspired his nickname, they say the name had a nice ring to it. As a child his family performed at an impersonation show. His uncle which was an Elvis impersonator always encouraged young Bruno to perform on stage. He was always around musical instruments, so he never got taught to play instruments, he just knew how to. Mars was exposed to many styles of music including reggae, rock, hip hop and R and B. As he got older he started impersonating Michael Jackson and other artists. The older he got he just became more attached to music.
As he grew older, Bruno started to acknowledge his Hawaiian root and agreed that “growing up in Hawaii made me the man I am.” He also performed in the halftime show of the 1990 Aloha Bowl. At this time Bruno was thrilled to find out that he would be performing at the half time entertainment at the next Super Bowl .he was super energetic as he performed with his astounding voice. Bruno is a big star now and says he gets inspired from his favourite singers Prince, The Police, and Elvis Presley, which he loved seeing girls go crazy for him,. This man from Honolulu will continue to break the music
