During this discussion, committee members determined that the schools mission was not completely aligned with the districts mission. *The school vision statement is aligned with the district vision but fail to describe what the school will look like, feel like, and sound like when the mission is implemented. The current vision is not shared and does not represent all faculty and staff members. Members of the committee will refine the statement to include what the school will look like, feel like, and sound like. The vision will also be revised to include a shared vision.

- Create a Mission Statement for Bernard Terrace/ Fishbowl “After the purpose of the school has been agreed upon, a mission for the school will need to be reapproved, revised, or written” (Bernhardt, 2002 p. 107). Committee members determined that the mission statement lacked alignment with the district mission and should be refined. Committee members participated in the Fishbowl Activity. Members in the inner ring were asked to describe in their own words the school mission, while the outer ring observed. The individuals in the outer ring were not allowed to speak until they joined the inner circle. When an individual in the inner ring finished speaking or finished observing they moved to the empty outer ring chair and someone from the outer ring wanting to say something moved to the inner ring.
