It was my frist day of high school in Iowa when I discovered English and reading were easy. I was sitting at the desk right in front of the teacher. It was my second day of his class and I already didn't care for him. He took a stack of pamphlets and bubble sheets off his desk. “These are benchmark placement tests it will help me see where you're at,” he said snarkily. The test looked like something I've taken before, but I wasn't quite sure what I was doing. There were vocabulary, reading, and grammar sections. I sped through the vocabulary and wondered what sort of a person would miss these words like disgruntlement and abyss. Surely I would pass this section.
