While there are arguments that support the idea that being a vegetarian can bring good changes to their life, there are also arguments that aid the contrary. Vegetarianism had brought negative effects to vegetarian such as some health issues and it is difficult for the vegetarians to eat outside.

Nutritional deficiency can be defined as an insufficient supply of required nutrients (as vitamins and minerals) in the diet, thus this can lead to malnutrition (‘Nutritional Deficiency’ n.d.). Vegetarian diets lack of many types of nutrients such as protein, iron, calcium, zinc, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12. One of the most common nutrients that are very hard to be found in a vegetarian diet is vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is necessary for us to consume because it helps to build a normal functioning body and brain. Animal products provide enough amount of vitamin B12. According to Walton (2011), he stated that the lack of vitamin B12 can cause problems in cell functioning, dizziness, anemia, poor concentration and many more. …show more content…

It is very difficult for a vegetarian to dine outside because there is a limited choice of vegetarian foods. Most of the restaurants outside have menus are that more favourable for meat eaters and their vegetarian offerings are regularly restrained (Jones n.d.). For the stricter vegetarian, it is more difficult for them to eat outside as they do not know how the foods have been prepared. The food can be prepared by not vegetarian way for example using animal oils or cooking utensils that are contaminated with meat products. According to Bassi (2015), it is quite hard for the vegetarians to eat outside as they are being judged by the waiters for being a vegetarian. They will start to question you why you are a vegetarian and then started to appear some look of pity on their faces. Hence, being a vegetarian must have a strong heart to accept what people say and how they look at
