My greek goddess is Artemis, she is also known as Diana. Artemis is the goddess of the moon and the hunt. She mostly spends her time hunting in the wild place or upon Olympus, also hunting in the forests with her followers. Important powers Artemis has are: able to turn herself and other people into animals, a perfect aim with the bow, speed, and strength.

Artemis is the daughter of Leto and Zeus. She is the twin of Apollo and half -sister of Athena, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Dionysus, Hercules, Perseus, and Helen of troy because she is the daughter of Zeus. She is not married or has any children for she is a virgin goddess, but she did love a mortal, Orion. Some Artemis’s aunt is Demeter and her uncles are Poseidon and hades. This myth does not have a name, but some know it as the sacrifice of Iphigenia. In this myth, Agamemnon slaughtered on of Artemis’s sacred stags and boasted that he was a superior hunter of Artemis. Artemis was angry when she found out and was plotting revenge on him. When Agamemnon was sailing for the trojan war, Artemis stranded him and his men in the middle of the sea with no wind. Artemis said, “ I shall bring the wind back, but only with a price.” “ And what price shall that be?” he asked. “ the life of your daughter, I demand you to sacrifice her to me.” She responded. Agamemnon couldn’t sacrifice his daughter, but there was not another choice. He did as he was told and accepted the bargain. He sacrificed his daughter and she did as she promised, she brought the wind back. In the end, she made his daughter a sacred stag of her own.
