SPORTSPLAY-The Lure and Peril Are lotteries ethical? In my opinion, gambling is unethical. Gambling is a sin. The Bible talks about staying away from the love of money. To name a few verses including the ones from 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grief’s.” Hebrew 13:5, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Proverbs 13:11, Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathered by labor shall increase.” Proverbs 23:5, “Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? People waste money all the time on going to the movies, out to eat, snacks, unnecessary wants, however it does not justify gambling even
