swing music can have many positive effects, especially on people living in highly controlled societies. In Germany, not too long ago, Hitler took over and many people were angry over what was happening. Swing music was not allowed because it was against the “Nazi ways.” By having music they can express their opinion in a harmless way, make new friends, and escape the violence of the society. Because of the three reasons mentioned above, I believe swing music should be reinstated in the German society.
The first reason why this music should be reinstated is that the citizens can express their opinion in a harmless way. By just showing up to the clubs, the German people can show that they are supporting their cause. In the movie, “Swing Kids”, Peter was forced to join the Hitler Youth program. He did not like being a part of this organization, however, he could not get out of it. After his training, sometimes, he would go out to the swing clubs and dance. When he went to these clubs, he showed that he did not likes the Nazis and what they were doing. When the citizens go out to the clubs, they aren’t harming anyone or anything, so this music should definitely be allowed. …show more content…

During this time, the Nazis were controlling Germany and creating a lot of violence. When the people came to the swing clubs, they could relieve stress by dancing and having a good time. In the movie, it showed many people coming to the clubs to dance, play music, and hangout. All of these people that came seemed very cheerful. Maybe, outside there was a lot of fighting and violence, but not in the clubs. The atmosphere in the room was very joyful and exciting. That is the second reason why swing music should be reinstated in the German
