“Swing: Pure Pleasure” is a movie directed by Ken Burns. Movie explains that in the yeas of the Great Depression Jazz came really close to becoming Americas’ popular music. This time I adopted the name Swing. For the millions of young fans this was the music of their generation.

Benny Goodman was Jewish descend American. He was a Clarinet player who had his own band. On March 3rd, 1937 Benny Goodman Orchestra starter a two week engagement at a theater in Time Square. This was his first time playing for so many high school students. Those were the same teenager that were buying his records; now they had the chance to see him play live. Benny Goodman became the King of Swing. He became popular overnight and made Jazz American popular music.
