“Momma!” I whined across the room, “I’m starving.” She always hates when I whine at her, I do it now just to grind her gears. She was lying on the couch so I laid my head on her lap and naming of foods that sounded good to me. Talking for a while about the different food choices we could get, we decided on Mexican food, specifically chicken cheese and rice. There are two main places we get this from which are El Torero's and Las Brisas. We agreed we wanted Mexican, but now we couldn’t agree on which restaurant was better so we decided we would just try both and end this argument once and for all. When the food had been brought to my table I could see that there wasn’t as much cheese as I would like for there to be, which also made my rice and chicken taste dry. As well as that problem, I had asked for no jalapenos in my meal but I got them anyway.
After stealing everyone’s left over cheese put on my dish, I ate as much as I could which was barley even half. El Torero’s gives you more than enough food to get full that meal and have leftovers for your next meal.
A few days later my mother and I now decided to try Las Brisas which is only ten minutes away from my house located in Scott City. When we walked into this restaurant we did not get the same open environment as El Torero’s, this place had very small walk spaces and every table was so close to the next that you could hear all the gossip of the town which made us want to dash out of this restaurant. Although they did have nice workers, we did not enjoy this factor near as much. The chicken cheese and rice at Las Brisas was priced around seven dollars which is cheaper than El Torero’s but not by much. Waiting patiently for my food seeming as if I had sat in this booth for a whole life time, it had finally arrived. The cheese seemed to be piled on compared to El Torero’s.
