Throughout the centuries there has always been religion. Religion has been an enormous part of the world since the beginning of time. There is always people debating about their religion and others. Today, the main religions that i'm going to discuss are Christianity and Buddhism. Christianity is a religion in which they believe in a God, heaven and hell, etc… Christianity was “established” in Judea 30 BCE by Jesus Christ. At the time, Judea was a cross-cultural mecca of bustling cities and farms, the emperor of rome was Judea’s ruler at the time. They all hated living in Judea with these rules and harsh lifestyle. It was started when Siddhartha Gautama passed away, the community he founded slowly evolved into a religion-like movement and the teachings of Siddhartha became the basis of Buddhism. Buddhism believes in reincarnation and rebirth, they do not believe in god. They believe that the ultimate goal of a buddhist is to gain enlightenment and to let go of oneself's reincarnation and suffering. Some people don’t even believe that Buddhism is a religion and they just see it as a philosophy or a way of finding reality. The Eightfold Path is also a huge part of Buddhism. The Buddha describes the The Eightfold Path as the middle way of moderation, between the extremes of sensual indulgence and self-mortification. The Eightfold Path consists of eight practices: right view, right resolve, right speech, right conduct, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right "samadhi" (meditative absorption or union). The Eightfold Path is a colossal part of the buddhist religion, as it means so much to them.
