Appearance Obsession Personality or appearance, which do people care more about? Many people are becoming more obsessed with their appearance. They wear makeup to create the look they want and worry whether their clothes are good enough. The way people dress is based on what society is accepting in that generation. Technology has also enabled filtering so when people take picture of themselves, they can change their appearance. People care about what others think of them and they become obsessed with their appearance. One way in which people care about their appearance is their face. People always dress for society, wearing what society considers fashionable at that time. In the past women would cover their entire bodies in clothing not showing any skin from shoulders to feet. Through the ages that has changed dramatically. Outfits you would see on a girl at school in this generation include name brand shorts such as Nike and Under Armour with a t-shirt, jeans and a t-shirt, jeans and a nice dress shirt, or even some girls wear dresses. Most boys at school tend to wear shorts and a t-shirt or jeans and a t-shirt. In today’s time, working women are required to dress business casual. These outfits are composed of nice blouses paired with slacks or a skirt. Men’s business casual would be khakis or dress slacks and a collared shirt or dress shirt. Women often care more about their appearances than men. Consequently, women tend to follow fashion closer by wearing the latest fashions and trying to keep up with what is popular.
