Animal Farm Government Essay

Sociologists have shown that all societies are divided into layers based on caste, class, race, or gender. Many Americans believe in a simple three-class society that includes the rich, the middle class, and the poor. Many do class structure according to income, education, type of occupation, and education. As a result, some people have greater advantages than others, leading to social inequality. A leader would need the qualities of a good leader to represent and maintain a good economy, however, a leader could easily become too powerful, lose control, and consequently get a skewed perspective of right from wrong.

Leadership is all about power and influence. Leaders use their power to get goals accomplished. A simple distinction is between two forms of power. Socialized power is used to benefits others and fulfill their needs. The other form is personalized power, power that is used strictly for personal gain. These two forms are not mutually exclusive, a leader can use their power to benefit society but also gain personally. However, leaders can become intoxicated by their power, engaging in unjust behavior simply because they have the power to and will get away with it. They focus on their own desires and are less able to see others' perspectives. A good leader should have good qualities to represent. Some of these qualities include honesty, their business and it's society are a reflection of their leader, having honest and ethical behavior and making it a key value will result in the team following that behavior. The government that is associated on the animal farm was unsuccessful. The power that is required to pull off the revolution corrupts the leaders. Their greed and thirst for absolute control lead them to create an unsustainable and bankrupt society. They didn't actually produce the goods and provide the infrastructure necessary to run a stable society. Napoleon goes ballistic with power, slaughtering every animal who didn't agree with him. Eventually running the population down and making the farm less efficient. The pigs contradict every commandment established for Animalism, becoming more and more like humans and become intoxicated with their power over the farm. The animals become more like slaves. They're treated poorly, are forcefully worked with no beneficial value to them, purely for the personal gain of the leaders.
