Albert Einstein once made a powerful point about our society, he has mentioned, "It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity" (Einstein 13). Kendall and Kylie Jenner also make this bold statement within their novel, Rebels: City Of Indra. Rebels: City Of Indra is about two young girls, named Lex and Livia, who live in the deceiving City of Indra. Lex and Livia are complete opposites of each other. Lex lives in a dark Orphanage within the town of Rock Bottom. In the Orphanage Lex receives little privileges and relies on technology to live a proper life of emotion and happiness. Rebels: City Of Indra, is an inspiring novel to our society today. It deals with a vast amount of the pressures many youths of the generation today experience. Rebels: City Of Indra, takes its readers on an adventure and an emotional ride, while allowing for a lesson to be told. In the novel Rebels: City Of Indra, Kendall and Kylie Jenner prove that technology dominates the society of Indra and deprives the citizens of individual freedom through booster injections, beauty implantations, and archive chips.

However, In the city of Indra, characters use booster injections to allow their feelings of distress to recede. Booster injections are induced with emotions of gratification to suppress overwhelming thoughts and feelings.
