A music festival will help raise funds, to mitigate Amazon’s deforestation issues. It will begin on Friday and end Saturday night. The music festival will have several well-known bands such as Counting Crows, Nickelback, Blue October, Passenger, among other well-known musical talents. Incorporating different genres of music will entice more people to attend.

A raffle will transpire between the bands playing. A trip to Manaus City in Brazil will be the main prize raffled, including a tour of the Amazon Rainforest. Trips to the zoo, TVs, and other prizes also will be available for people to win. The profits will go into a fund for replanting the Amazon Rainforest.

Deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest is devastating to our planet, not only for our climate but to the species of plants and animals of the Amazon Rainforest. According to Greenpeace International” The Amazon is the planet's largest remaining rainforest, teeming with more wildlife than anywhere else on Earth” (Greenpeace International, 2017). Greenpeace International comments further” But this majestic rainforest is caught between the twin destructive forces of deforestation and climate change” (Greenpeace International, 2017). …show more content…
