Drugs can effect people very negatively in multiple dangerous ways. One crucial effect is addiction. Addiction is an extremely powerful complex disease; very often effecting more than just the person addicted. Friends and family members suffer intense emotional fluctuations from dangerous events caused by the addict on a daily basis. When a person is addicted to a drug they become dependent on that particular substance and revolve their whole day based on getting that initial "high" or "buzz". Addiction can also change people physically turning them into violent, lazy, or even depressed. In the users head continuing to use and abuse drugs is an appropriate coping mechanism for the emotions they no longer wish to feel.
Another dangerous way drugs can effect people negatively is death. Once again this effects more than just the person using or selling the drugs. Illegal drugs cause about two hundred thousand global deaths yearly. These deaths can be from immediate use leading to overdose or even a drug deal gone bad. Pollution occurs in many different forms such as, air, water, soil, radioactive, noise, heat/thermal and light. People from all around the world experience different levels and effects of air pollution. Millions of Americans live in areas where urban smog, particle pollution, and toxic pollutants are serious health concerns. If exposed to high enough levels of certain air pollutants one can experience irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat. Wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and breathing difficulties are other fatal effects caused from air pollution.
