Academic success has been a primary goal of mine since the beginning of my education. I have always given my all in every aspect of my life, but education has been especially important to me because it is the foundation of my future. As my post-secondary education is approaching, I am continuously setting goals in order to prepare myself for a change in the academic setting. I believe it is crucial to practice good study habits and continue to achieve academically as high school comes to an end.

High school is a rough place and in order to succeed you need a lot of influences and traits in your life. Being successful in school involves more than intelligence, you also need family, friends, a good attitude and future plans. Without these traits high school can be difficult. Not everyone has these traits handed to them, for some have to work for success. Life is like a deck of cards not everyone is handed the same hand of cards, but even the worst cards can win. Therefore, based on my skills and influences in my life, I will be highly successful in my high school career.
Being able to achieve success in high school has driven me to move on and continue making good decisions to better myself. Another reason i have moved on to make better decisions to better myself is my family. Namba reaching her goal motivated her to keep pushing. This relates to high school because if you see a positive outcome, it also motivates you to keep going.
I excelled academically in high school. I was diligent about setting proper study habits for each class in order to handle my rigorous extracurriculars and my school work. The workload intensified throughout my time at UHS with my addition of more AP and Honors level courses; however, I learned time management skills, work ethic, and how to make better student-teacher connections to ensure that I always preformed to the best of my ability during the school year and beyond. Reflecting on my high school classes, I am confident that I put in my best efforts to ensure success.

We should always remember that goals are simply tools to focus your energy in positive direction and for you to work hard. We should also remember this always “don’t let your goals just be goals, work hard, do everything and anything to make that goal a reality” Success is something that we all want to achieve in our lives. Some people want nothing more than to be happily married, have a large family and make their children well. Other people work hard for academic success and becoming as highly educated as they can, Academic success is something that many students want, but also something that many students are not prepared to really work hard. The most successful students are those that put the work in. It doesn’t matter how intelligent you are if you don’t put the effort to learn, and work hard on essays and other assignments. Everything we know is learned, and intelligent people are not born with everything already stored in their heads. While intelligence can give students a head start over others, this is where it ends, and those getting the results they want will be those that worked the hardest.
