In life you meet you meet thousands of people, some you don’t get along with, some you consider acquaintances and some you can truly call your friends. Throughout you life friends will come and go all the time while only the real friends will stick around. According to Bill Parcells “A real friend is someone who knows all about you and likes you anyway.” This statement is correct because someone can like you for what they know about you, but to be a real friend they have to know everything about you and still like you after.
Bill Parcells quote is one that probably resonates with a lot of people in the world. The quote resonates with me especially for a few reasons. Ever since I was young I have been socially awkward, but people like to

To get people to really like you for who you are is a little more difficult. You have to share common interests with them, enjoy each others personalities and hobbies and feel comfortable being yourself around them. I made my best friends back in middle school from liking basketball and playing with them every day after school got out. Bill used this quote because it connects with everyone on this planet. Making real friends is something I’ve done, Bill has done and everyone in this class has done. Although you may think you have hit it off with someone friendship is never that easy. People will be your friend but then go behind your back and make fun of you to others. It has happened to me before where I considered someone a relatively close friend only to find out he makes fun of me to his other group of friends. This happens to everyone in middle school and high school. This is why it is so important to have your ‘real friends’ who know everything about you and would never go behind your back.
Whether it is a real friend or a fake friend, everyone goes through life meeting new people and making new friends. Having friends who aren’t necessarily your best friends isn’t a bad thing, but you will always know who to turn to when you are feeling
“Let Them Talk!” written by Wayne E. Wright is an article that focuses on the idea of promoting English Language Learners (ELL) oral-language skills in the classroom instruction time to improve their literacy and academic achievement. Too often are an ELL’s speaking and listening skills overlooked and not given enough attention to, even though it is one of the most important parts of communication. Wright encourages teachers working with ELL students to allow time for the student to adjust, not to pressure them into their language development, respect their various stages, bring them into whole class and small group discussions, correct simple language errors in speaking that impeded comprehension, and have them interact and communicate in the classroom for meaningful purposes.
Bud Not Buddy, by Christopher Paul Curtis, takes place in Flint, Michigan and Grand Rapids, Michigan. It took place in the 1920's (during the depression). It is about a boy named Bud Caldwell who is on a search to find his father. He uses lies throughout the whole book to get him where he wants to go. He is 10 years old and his mother died when he was 6. Bud tells everyone she died a fast and painless death.
This aphorism applies to my daily life in 2 ways. One is that at school I try to be kind to people who come up to me and say hi and who want to be a friend or someone to talk to. It could be anyone. If someone I have never seen in my high school
The book “A Long Way From Chicago” is an adventurous and funny story. The story takes place at Joey Dowdel’s Grandmothers farm house in the country. Joey and his sister Mary Alice were sent to their Grandma’s house during the summer because their parents had to go to Canada for their work. At first, Joey felt uncomfortable with his Grandmother because he had never met her before but eventually he got to know her and they became close friends.
What is the definition of true friendship? John Steinbeck's book Of Mice and Men is about two men, George and Lennie, who are migrant workers in California during the great depression. A true friend is someone who cares for you, is loyal to you, and will be there for you.
When making friends, you must choose the right ones by observing the person's qualities and how they behave. If the person behaves in a bad way, further away this person may lead you down the wrong path and get you into a lot of trouble. Incommensurate, If the person behaves in a good way, then they may be a good friend to have and lead you down the right path. Consequently, friendship is a very good thing to have with many positive and sadly, negative
The Play "Sure Thing" from David Ives examines the endless variations of boy meets girl and the ensuing pick up lines. The central theme throughout the play displays a few varieties of a possible conversation that end with a ringing bell that symbolizes a fresh start and a second chance to make a good impression.
People should not have to stay in friendships they don't want to, but a one time thing is different then all the time. Make sure that you are around people that make you feel good. I had some experience with both of these.
If someone doesn't like me when I am at my worst and in crisis then they don’t deserve to see or be with me at my best. Fake friends leave when things get hard. Real friends stick with you through everything. This symbolizes a time in my life when the one person who said she was never gonna leave left. She is back in my life now but I don't trust her. I have to keep my head up for me and not for her. She can't be the most important thing in my life.
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example, when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support. There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you, involved in your everyday life. To find good friends you should look for such traits as being kind, trustworthy, loyal and dependable.
In life we come across many people. Some will hate us while others will adore us. The ones who hate us can be referred to as enemies and the ones who show us adoration are referred to as friends. There are three types of friends. They are the aquaintinces we make in school, the friends we loose as one grows, and best friends who may stray, but never too far away.
Friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. Ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray us. Friends can tell harsh truths when they must be told. There are four different types of friends: True friends, Convenient friends, Special interest friends, and historical friends. To have friendship is to have comfort. In times of crisis and depression, a friend is there to calm us and to help lift up our spirits.
Making new friends can be intimidating, but it’s definitely rewarding. After all, friends form a big part of our life. They are the ones who walk through life together, share our ups and downs and joys and pains. Without friends, life wouldn’t be the same at all. We wouldn’t be who we are if not for them.
A true friend is someone who cares, someone who’s here for me at any and every hour of the night, someone who helps, someone I can trust, and someone who can cheer me up when I’m sad. A true friend only comes around once in a while and without proper value and appreciation for her she may be gone before I know it. A true friend is someone to be yourself in front of, someone who knows everything about you and still wants to be your friend through it all. She’s someone I can tell everything to without feeling embarrassed or afraid. In reality not many friends have all of these qualities. A true friend may be invisible at times; although my eyes may not see her I know that no matter what, she’s here. Friendship is a very important gift Gd gave to us when He created the world. Our mission is to be the friend we want for ourselves to others thus adding more true friends to the world. If I don’t put all my heart into a friendship, there won’t be a friendship. A friendship is two ways; it’s something that takes time and effort from both sides to get to where you need to
There is no real definition of friendship, because there’s no one way you can define it. Friendships can mean many different things, depending on the person. Friendship to you may be your boyfriend or your mom. To someone else it may be their cousin or someone they met on at school. It can take you a long time to consider someone your friend. Maybe you have to get to know them before you become their friend. Some people have had very bad experiences with friendships and may be scared to become friends with someone to fast. So it may take some time for some people to make friends. Maybe you can become friends with someone a couple of day after ya’ll meet. You may be one of the people who have never had any problems with friends, so you trust people more. Are maybe your someone who’s scared of being alone so you need friends there to help you cope with your fear.
