Recommended: What is worldview
It is crucial to have a complete understanding of how one is to view and respond to the problems of the world in light of the different schools of thought. This is best done with a worldview. A worldview is a comprehensive collection of one's beliefs in every area of rational thought. It dictates a person's actions and responses to the world in which they live.
In addition to providing the details of one’s beliefs, a worldview has the added benefit of showing how different schools of thought interact and influence one another (Tackett, 2006). Having a well constructed worldview would, for example, bring to light inconsistencies with philosophy and ethics that one might maintain and allow one to resolve them.
The primary elements of a worldview deal with philosophy, ethics and religion. Additionally, a person’s worldview colors their view of history, science and humanity. While many of these elements can be made to work together, some fit together better than others. When building a worldview, it is important to select the pieces that work best together.
The best way to understand worldviews is by example. My own worldview is naturally the one I am most familiar with, and as such will make a fine example of what a worldview contains. It is by no means perfect, but it will serve to provide the details of a worldview and what that entails.
The first area of of what makes a worldview is philosophy. Philosophy is the portion of one’s worldview that provides details of how one defines truth and the methods of how one comes to that conclusion. Philosophy is powerful and often underrated. The western worldview grew out of ideas that were brought about by the Black Death, the humanist movement, and religious reform. The Black Death killed most of Europe’s population, opening spots for jobs and spots to move in the feudal system. This caused people to think out of the box, it also helped people see that everyone had something in common king or serf. The humanist movement also had a key role that helped people see the bigger picture. Last but no least the religious reform also played a key role. After new ideas came from the humanisms people questioned things they hadn’t before. These are the three main topics for the growth of the western worldview.
By taking a biased point of view, we effectively impair ourselves to the rest of the world, expecting nothing besides what we already believe. But by philosophizing, we expose ourselves to unexpected possibilities and free ourselves from the narrow view of conventional wisdom.
Worldview is how you view certain views from a certain perspective, such as a Christian worldview would be how you view certain views from a Christian perspective. Everything in life is affected by worldview and everyone has one. As Christians, our worldview is using the Bible for our starting on our views. An example of a worldview is, according to the article “What is a Christian Worldview?”, “Christianity as taught in the Bible is itself a worldview.” 77 words.
A worldview can be defined as a set of beliefs by which you live your life. This means that everything you say and do is defined by your worldview or set of beliefs. A biblical worldview is a God centered belief system, one where everything that you do is filtered through your belief in God and the Bible. MacCullough (2012) says, “These beliefs are the answers we hold to the basic questions

Taking a global perspective will lead me to see that different places have different cultures. A culture can be defined as the ways of thinking and acting, along with the material objects that make up a people’s way of life (Macionis, page 54). I need to understand that people I meet may have grown up in different cultures and have different beliefs or values. If I take a global perspective, I will be able to better respect and value the cultures of the people I come into contact with. Learning about different cultures is one way to learn about people’s history. Everyone’s pasts and futures are linked by their culture (Macionis, page 54). As I prepare to go to college in the fall, I think about all the new people I will have the opportunity to meet. I will have the chance to interact with people from other countries. I will have the chance to not just learn more about them as...
