INTRODUCTION
This is IM1024 – Web Authoring & Web Management report assignment, module leader by Ms. Johna Doe. I have prepared this documentation to report on my designed website. We are required to create a website of a Public Library. Basically we need to create the Home page, List of services, Library Collection, About and Contact us pages. We are expected to be creative when designing a website by including a function such as dropdown menu, checkboxes and many more.
As an addition to my website, I have included some of the following pages:
o Account
o Membership
o Season
o Staff Picks
o New Books
I also enclosed the following document to complete this project:
o Website’s sketches
o HTML code sample
o A few Website Screen Shots

There is a lot of consideration and time spent in the planning process of web design as the client is entirely in control of the final outcome of what a website is to look like.
The designers of the website addressed most of the common mistakes that are found in most of the websites. The site is highly usable as the designers have adhered to the requirements of good website design. Therefore, the site meets its mandate of informing users.
Numerous studies have pointed out that while almost all Fortune 500 companies have great investment in web analytics they still struggle to make any meaningful business decisions. Most people complain that there are terabytes of data and gigabytes of reports and megabytes of excel and power point files. Yet no actionable insights, no innate awareness is present on what is really going on through the clutter of the clickstream data.
Suggestion: Again, this site needs to be easy to read, easy to navigate, and easy to understand. It needs minimal scroll particularly on the first page. Provide links from the main page to read more about a particular topic. An id attribute would be beneficial for this website.
With a lack of design and readability but good navigation, The Museum of Science and Industry’s website is able to fulfill its purpose of presenting its visitors useful information. The design of the website, such as the backgrounds and slideshow, could be changed to a more simple and neutral style to let the visitors focus on the information and not be thrown off by the overwhelming amount of things that are going on. Once again, the readability of the website could also be easily improved just by increasing the font size, capitalizing important words, and by being more specific. The navigation of the website only needs a few small changes but the base for it is already there. With all information taken into consideration, the Museum of Science and Industry’s website is below average but has the potential for

When one thinks of the internet, one may think of America Online, Yahoo!, or of Sandra Bullock being caught up in an espionage conspiracy. For me, it is a means of communication. A way to talk to some of my friends who live off in distant places such as Los Angeles, New Jersey, and the Philippines. The U.S. Defense Department originally

Web design is the method of making websites. It encompasses many different aspects, together with web page layout, content production, and graphic style. Whereas the terms internet design and internet development are typically used interchangeably, internet design is technically a set of the broader class of internet development. It is formed by using a language called HTML which contains the satisfied content and the Meta data of individual page and they also provide CSS for the web page which will appear in the browser.

The most important task of developing and designing a web page is the gathering of information. You first need to brainstorm about what you would like the web page to consist of. Collect everything that you want to become part of the web page, from editorials and graphics to company information and history. It may be a good idea to get your hands on as much data as possible, and then decide what is to be used in the web page. Whatever material that you do not used may be discarded later. All information previously gathered is categorized in a hierarchy form from the most important to the least important.
