U.S. Airways Flight 1549 Accident:
Flight Accident:
The above mentioned airplane was a planned commercial passenger flight that took off from LaGuardia Airport, New York destined for Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina on January 15, 2009. Six minutes after takeoff, the airplane was successfully abandoned in Hudson River after striking multiple birds during its initial climb out. The crew reported by radio two minutes after takeoff at an altitude of 3,200 feet, the Airbus experienced multiple bird strikes. The result of this multiple bird strikes, which occurred in northeast of George Washington Bridge was compressor stalls as well as loss of thrust in both engines. The Airbus was ditched in Hudson River after the aircrew discovered that they would not reach any airfield and turned southward. Fortunately, all the 155 passengers on board survived the accident though the Airbus was partly submerged and sinking slowly.
Bird Strike:
According to an FAA spokeswoman, initial reports indicated that the plane’s engines were damaged following a double bird strike. While the plane captain declared an emergency after experiencing the bird strike, the passengers on board reported of a smell of fuel, engine flames and loss of power before the landing (Steenhor par, 4). The co-pilot, Jeffrey Skiles, who was at the controls when the flight took off, was the first to observe the formation of birds which were approaching the aircraft. When the Airbus collided with the birds, the windscreen turned dark brown immediately with numerous loud thuds being heard. Following ingestion by the birds, both of the engines lost all thrust. In an attempt to restart the engines, the captain, Chesley B. Sullenberger, took the controls while Skiles the...

As a result, none of the parties was determined to commit a tort in a civil lawsuit. However, each passenger received compensation for their lost luggage as well as offers from AIG not to file a lawsuit against US Airways.

After the crash, the mangled twin-engine plane rested about 75 yards from the end of the runway in a marshy area. Workers carried away badly burned bodies and laid them nearby. Pieces of the plane were strewn about the crash site.
Since there were no survivors, it’s almost impossible to tell what was true from the events in the movie. As a result, the writer and director of this film, Paul Greengrass, had to improvise and use the help from families that were in contact with the passengers during this time to create a credible story. “Every witness died, and assembling together what can remember from 37 mostly unrecorded phone calls made from the plane does not provide a clear or necessarily reliable picture. The film was finished before a transcript of the cockpit voice recording was released. That means that these scenes can only be a work of imagination, and largely improvised by the cast of United 93 . Greengrass had many things right on the movie starting from the basics, for example; the date of the event , the flight name and number, the location of its departure and its destination, the amount of people, where the hijackers were planning to go, and where and when the plane crashed. One of the most important things that this film got correct was how the terrorists took control of the airplane, which includes a fake bomb, knives, and directing all passengers and crew to the back of the plane. Also, the way the passengers realized that there was no way out of the situation and decided to work together to get control of the plane. What the movie also got right were the events that happened off the plane because all the people that were involved in this situation were alive to tell their side of the story. This included the events that happened on the control centers and the military base. In addition, there were also things that were either invented or speculated in order to make the story of the movie credible. This was shown from the start of the movie, where the terrorists were praying in a room before
Terrorism – This is a word that many people are terrified of. When a terrorist attack occurs, people’s daily routines are shattered. Things change instantaneously the moment the bomb goes of. When we think about a terrorist attack that really impacted the world, we immediately think about 9/11. On that day many people were hurt directly and indirectly. People were disorientated and scared. The moment there is change, the world panics. Unfortunately, 9/11 was not the only day where people panicked. On 1988, the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 occurred. This terrorist attack was not as massive as 9/11; but, it did leave scares especially to the Syracuse University community.
Is the government covering up the truth about the September 11 event in New York City or it’s just classified information that the world is not ready for. For many Years people around the world have came up with all these conspiracy theories about 911. theories such as Flight 93 being completely staged, there really was no second plane, some even say inside traders knew about attacks before they happened. These theories have many people wondering if the government really is covering up the truth about 911. Though no one can prove whether some 911 conspiracies are true , there are many suspicious events leading up to the tragedy that point to foul play.
Libya and the United States had endured constant tensions throughout the mid- to late-twentieth century because of their conflicting ideas on terrorism. The United States was involved in a bombing on Libya that had an effect towards the Libyan leader. These tensions built up until someone took drastic measures. On December 21, 1988, the Pan American flight 103 was bombed as a result of these long standing tensions between the United States and Libya.
On July 17, 1996, Trans World Airlines flight 800, A Boeing 747-100, exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near New York 12 minutes after its departure. All 230 people on board died.
The Colgan Air Flight 3407 was a very interesting case to look at. On February 12, 2009, at 10:17 pm, flight 3407 crashed at a house in New York after the pilots experience a stall. Flight 3407 was scheduled to fly from Newark, New Jersey to Buffalo, New York. The NTSB reported the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) revealed some discrepancies both pilots were experience. The first officer did not have any experience with icing condition but icing was one of the reasons the plane went into a stall. On the other hand, the captain had some experience flying in icing condition. The captain was experiencing fatigue, which indeed, made him unfit to recover from a stall. With that in mind, the Human Factor Analysis Classification System (HFACS) will give insight of some errors both pilots made.

It was the afternoon of July 25, 2000. One hundred passengers, most of them German, boarded the Concorde Air France Flight 4590. This was a trip of a lifetime for many people, as Concorde was restricted to the wealthy class of people. The excitement in people was cut short by the unfortunate delay in flight, because of maintenance in one of its engines. The passengers boarded the plane a couple of hours after the scheduled time. Finally, it was cleared for taxi on runway 26-Right. The pilots lined the aircraft parallel to the runway. A tragic accident, however, was about to befall.
The last plane that was hijacked was then shot down at 10:10am. The plane was being hijacked was going toward Camp David.
Flight 19 was the designation of five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle on December 5, 1945 during a United States Navy overwater navigation training flight from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All 14 of the airmen on the flight were lost as well as the 13 crew members of a PBM Mariner flying boat of professional investigators which is thought to have exploded in mid-air while searching for the flight. Navy investigators could not determine the cause of the loss of Flight 19 yet many researchers argue otherwise claiming that there is a specific cause for the disappearance of Flight 19.
Flight 370 was an international passenger flight that went missing on March 8, 2014. The flight was scheduled in route to Beijing, but it went missing throughout the second day after the plane took off from Kuala National Airport. At approximately 1:21 p.m., the communications and transponder signal were functioning no longer. There were no emergency calls at the time the plane had its last checkpoint. On March 24 at approximately 10p.m.Malaysia Standard Time, officials ceased the search as radio signals picked up debris found throughout a remote Indian Ocean. It is believed that all of the 239 passengers on the plane died (Preimesberger). From protests and outcries, to mourning and fallouts, it is still a distraught event that shocked the world.
Flight 93, the flight that crashed near some fields in the outskirts of Pennsylvania. But what was it doing there? What caused the plane to miss its target and crash? These answers may soon be revealed when detectives can finally examine the planes black box, found just recently. Many answers however can be found through other pieces of info that have come up along the way during the investigations.
The plane started to take off and moments later we were high above the ground. There were 7 crew members on at the
