Sovik 8 Smash Brothers 64 community, the first iteration of the series, is very respectful and wise. They play the game because they enjoy it and the people they associate themselves with. The maturity of the community shows as they were very welcoming to me when I participated in my first ever Super Smash Brothers 64 tournament. I associated myself with the 64 community a good portion of the second day. The Super Smash Brothers Melee is similar to the 64 community in many ways. Much like 64
I am a very avid gamer; I spend up to 4 hours a day engaged in some sort of game. Sometimes that game is on my phone or a handheld device but, more commonly, I spend the majority of that time glued to my computer screen. As a new freshman, I joined the gaming club on campus, Gamers of OSU (GOSU). At GOSU, I met my now roommate, my now boyfriend, and a large group of people I am proud to call friends. It just so happens that most of the friends are men. I am never surprised that the company I keep
I never thought super smash bros intense four player battles needed more players but 8 player brawls have become one of my favorite modes in super smash brothers for Wii U. 8 player battles are local only, which is an unfortunate limitation but if you get a group of friends together you’ll feel these big, vibrantly colorful arenas with sheer madness happening in ever corner. Each character displays fantastic personality and combat drawing on a rich history of dozens of beloved games. As I strike

The Super Famicom (Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES) had its debut in 1991 and was a hit worldwide

occasionally three, girls compared to about ten boys This meant that much of my childhood was spent surrounded by boys.I knew my place, and I knew what activities I could and could not be a part of. When the boys were playing a serious round of Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii, I recognized that they would only allow me to watch. When I wanted to play Barbies I did not even bother to ask if any of the boys wanted to join. There were times, however, when these stereotyped gender guidelines would blur,
As a young child and even still today, I have always immersed my life around video games. Every day after school I find myself playing games such as Pokémon, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Grand Theft Auto on my consoles as well as spending hours on the computer playing online games. Playing video games has always been hobby as well as a creative outlet. The sensation that comes from playing video games emulates a different kind of reality that you normally wouldn’t experience in real life is just fascinating
If you were to ask many video game enthusiasts about their favorite female video game heroines, the answers you’d get would be very varied - some will say Lara Croft of the Tomb Raider series, others say Alyx from the Half-Life series, few say Jade from Beyond Good & Evil, a handful will vouch for Chell from Portal, and a lot of old-school folks might just say Ms. Pac-Man. However, there is another video game heroine who has managed to reach into the hearts of gamers, both male and female, proving
