I never thought super smash bros intense four player battles needed more players but 8 player brawls have become one of my favorite modes in super smash brothers for Wii U. 8 player battles are local only, which is an unfortunate limitation but if you get a group of friends together you’ll feel these big, vibrantly colorful arenas with sheer madness happening in ever corner. Each character displays fantastic personality and combat drawing on a rich history of dozens of beloved games. As I strike, dodge, block and leap through several other fighters, a match builds up to a climax that’s genially fun each and every time. That represents super smash brothers Wii U at a whole. Winning them unlocks a trophy or a handy piece of custom equipment, the higher the difficulty, and the better the prizes. Losing comes at a hefty price, torching you most or in some cases, all of the rewards. Nearly ever mode in Smash Brothers offers a set of unlock able rewards and the only part about unlocking them that isn’t satisfying is some of the awkward menus. The prospect of the new custom equipment, special moves, beautifully rendered trophies and more kept me playing for hours. The only mode that’s a snooze is Smash Tour which is effectively a mediocre board game with too many boring parts. Four players take turns to gather up
